Delightful safari

We had a super guide who is a fabulous spotter, so managed to see many of the animals the park is famous for. Highly recommended.

I have read other reviews about the tents. Yes, sure they are old and not spacious but this place is for people who want an experience not a hotel room. We loved Wilpattu. Having a fully functioning bathroom in your tent was so bizarre. Loved it. The bed was comfortable and the fan provided adequate cooling. The safari was great.... More

Although our guide did his utmost to find some wildlife there wasn't much around. His enthousiasm prolonged the trip by an hour or so while our interest was shrinking by the minute. When you hear afterwards that most wildlife is more likely to show themselves at sundown for instance it makes you wonder why a wildlife tour is organized in... More

Took a long time to drive down the access track from the Park entrance without much wildlife. The jungle is close to the track preventing views until one gets deep inside the park when it is soon time to return. We made a mistake taking the afternoon safari, perhaps an all day one would have been better. One good thing... More

We had booked a three hour safari as part of out tour. We arrived early and were sent on our way straight away. This meant we actually got well over four hours. A safari is a gamble and we saw lots of small animals (mongoose, monitor lizards and numerous birds. Water Buffalo and several varieties of deer and a multitude... More

We were lucky and saw a lot of animals: various birds, monkeys, deer and even a bear and two leopards. However, the whole tour is a bit long. After two hours it's just more of the same and the rickety jeep is not a pleasure to ride in. Yes, I realize that they want to take you to the lakes... More

Lovely safari, with a tour guide who had an eagle eyes for spotting the wildlife. hours of driving around, finding animals, looking at the wonderful scenery. very comfortable. 1 stop for 'facilities'.,... take some paper with you wherever you go !! Will never forget it.

Amazing safari through Wilpattu National Park. A long day but well worth it. Saw many animals including a leopard, bear, deer and birds. We had a picnic breakfast and many photo opportunities.
