Okay place for a walk
Family
Walked around the park and up to the top of the observatory. Nothing amazing but a nice park to enjoy the outdoors. We parked here then walked to guitar road and over to Yangnim-dong which was a great little neighborhood with lots of good architecture and coffee shops.

great observatory for Gwangju. entrance is free.
there are not that many sightseeing spots in Gwangju, but Sajik Observatory is the one that should be visited. I suggest coming here before the sunset in order to see Gwangju in daylight and after waiting a little bit see Gwangju at night time
