May 2019 • Family
The time we went was close but from the outside looks great . In general many churches are here. Orthodox and Catholic . Moreover many non pork restaurants since a large Muslim community exists

Beautiful Catholic Church
Dec 2018 • Business
One of the great attractions of the town for sure. Centrally located church is something you will never miss when passing through Vrsac. Architecture is nice and makes great sense to see the church from inside as well.

A church full of history
Aug 2018 • Friends
A church full of history. the place is really worth visiting as the history of the place will come alive as soon as you listen to your guide's explanations. People of the past held history in their hands and shaped it having their own morals to consider. you just step back in time and imagine what life was like then

A beautiful church in Versac. Right up there with some in Italy. Worth a look around and maybe light a candle for a loved one.

Great example of gothic architecture in Serbia !
Feb 2018 • Couples
This day of Constitutionalism on february 15th or as it is called in Sebia, Sretenje, we profited to visit a beautiful town Vrsac, in southern part of Banat, the region of Vojvodina, which is the northern part of the Republic of Serbia. We've taken a bus in the morning, and via Pancevo, Banatsko Novo Selo, Ali Bunar,Banatski Karlovci, Uljme, got finally, after about two hours of riding, in Vrsac.
This town is located very near to the border with Republic of Romania, about 28 km away. The name of Vrsac derives from the "vrh", which means the summit. The town is very renown by its grapevines, the writer of dramas and poet, Jovan Sterija Popovic, then great people painter Paja Jovanovic, a big pharmaceutical company Hemofarm.
On our way to the highest point in all Vojvodina, i.e. Vrsacki Breg (Hill) with the Vrsacka Kula (Castle) on the top of it, we passed by the very good hotel "Serbia" and stopped by the one enormous Roman - Catholic german church, named after the saint Gerard or Gerhard in german language. That is the tallest and most striking building in Vrsac, that can be easily seen from afar. The height of Cathedral is really impressive with their two elegant steeples and in the whole it is one perfect representant of Neogothic structure dedicated to the St.Gerard. There are many rich sculptures on the frontal facade, especially in the upper areas of the steeples, as well as around the portals and windows. Also are beautiful the two stone flowers or rosetta stones above the central portal. We entered inside and perceived three naves, which end in the three altars.
That is for sure one the most beautiful and largest churches in the Republic of Serbia.
Just liked to see that !

Beautiful example of gothic architecture
Apr 2017 • Friends
Church of Saint Gerard is most certainly one of the main symbols of the city of Vršac. Due to its height, it can literally be seen from every corner of the city. It is well preserved and, thus, keeps its magnificent gothic beauty. If you're visiting Vršac, be sure not to miss this beautful church.

Even though the church needs some remodeling, it still stands as the most beautiful one in Vrsac. I only saw the interior once when the organ was playing, and it was astonishing. Felt like the 16th century.
