Beutiful to look at not great to visit.
Parking as expected was a bit of a problem. However not to bad. The island looks really beautiful but it is closed to the public. Pitty. The beach is very rocky and the beach chairs completely stupidly priced.

    Quiet and clean
Quiet beach with superb views over the old monastery (shame its all locked up and you can't go inside). We walked up the hill to another beach with a cave, which was also very nice. Parking in the car park costs €4, and cash only (as in most places here).

Popular Beach with Rocky Terrain and Parking Challenges
We chose it because it was recommended as the most popular beach in Budva. We arrived around 2 PM and waited about 40 minutes for parking. Parking is €4 per hour (after you complete an hour, you pay for the next full hour. So, you can’t pay for 1.5 hours or 3.5 hours). We rented 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella for €30 from a business on the beach. Because there was a high turnover, we easily found a spot. The beach and the sea are rocky, so I recommend bringing water shoes; otherwise, your feet might hurt until you get into the water. Due to the rocky nature, the sea is clear and clean. Access to the island is not possible, probably because it is private property. We had a pleasant day, but we wouldn’t have missed much if we hadn’t visited.

Nice beach, lovely views, wander along to get a good price
Spent a few days here and really enjoyed it. It can be quite mixed on cleanliness, price & quality, so wander along before sitting down. We found a nice place with two loungers, big umbrella & deck chair in front row for €25. Guy was friendly had a little bar, toilet and changing area. Also rented kayaks and paddle boards for €10 per hour. Pebbly, hot, gets deep fairly quick, but appeared to be safe/clean (ish) kids enjoyed it.

Not what it supposed to be
Media and touristbooks are hyping this area Sveti Stefan. But this all is not true. You cant visit Sveti Stefan and every one who comes is standing in front of the closed iron door, because ist is owned by financiers. Everyone is disappointed! The Government should use the other small island next to Sveti Stefan to build a smaller but visitable attraction.

    Upper class
Only went there for a couple of hours in the afternoon, we probably wouldn’t have found parking otherwise, even if it costs 4 eur / hour. We found a spot on the public beach to lay a towel. Beach shoes needed, the stones are not comfortable to walk on. The view while bathing is marvelous. We took a ton of photos of the fortress, walked on the bridge to the fortress, the atmosphere was calm and serene. Definitely worth coming at least for the pictures

    Beautiful beach
    1. Tour the Island: Sveti Stefan is a small island connected to the mainland by a narrow bridge. Unfortunately you can not stroll through the charming narrow streets, enjoy the breathtaking view of the Adriatic Sea, and visit the historical buildings. The Island is closed for the past four years. 2. Beaches: The island offers beautiful beaches with clear waters and golden sand. Sveti Stefan Beach is one of the most famous beaches in Montenegro.

    a must visit
The beach is great - yes it is rocky and we paid £30 euros for sunbeds, but we stayed all day and the view is fantastic. You cannot visit the island but the views and the water are lovely, and the drive had spectacular views. Not too far from Budva, the parking is more expensive than other places but we didn't think it was a rip off. We would suggest if you go by car - arrive early - we arrived at 10.30am and there were plenty of spaces with no queue. Bring beach shoes!!

After 1h50 of driving we arrive in Sveti Stefan. Indeed a very beautiful peninsula and perhaps a beautiful village? I say perhaps because we had the unpleasant surprise of not being able to access the village which was closed. A guard at the entrance (obviously unfriendly like many people in Montenegro) gives us 3 words of explanation that we do not understand. Finally a tourist explains to us that the village is closed because they are managing entry flows, and that it will only reopen in 25 minutes. Also, if you choose to wait, you will have to pay an entrance ticket of €25 per person... No information at the entrance to the village to inform visitors of all this. As for the beach, the water is frozen (in the middle of August)... So I confirm, run away...

Beautifull place, perfect water, not too crowded. You can take a short walk around.
Part of beach is with paid sunbeds (different prices for different rows - from 20 till 50 euros). Parking is quite expensive. Grill bar in the beach was very good.

Very pretty beach with a magnificent view of the billionaires peninsula.
The water is transparent, small pebble beach (bring water shoes), cabins and showers available free of charge.
The deckchairs are not as expensive as indicated in previous reviews, we paid €30 per day on the top row (it's €50 at the water's edge) for 2 deckchairs and a parasol.
We have tested quite a few beaches, it is our favorite with Hawaii (in Budva), it is less crowded than Petrovac or Budva.

We were visiting Montenegro and stopped at Sveti Stefan beach for a swim. Parking (almost mandatory to access) costs €4 per hour. Two sunbeds with umbrella €60….but where do they think they are??? In Portofino?? The sea is nothing special. Italy sweet Italy. No country is better than ours

Scared by the bad reviews I decided to go anyway. Yes, parking costs €4/hour, but you're practically on the beach. Prices for sunbeds and umbrellas range from €50/€60 for the first row to €30 for the 4th/5th row. In short, not as tragic as some reviews indicate. Plus there are 3 pieces of free beach if you don't want to spend money.
