Over the Prizren Lumbardh, many bridges have been built in history, the most special one is the Stone Bridge. Located in the center of the old town. Built by Ali Beu in the 16th century in the oriental style and has spherical shape, but destroyed due to floods, and rebuilt in 1982 with major changes in architecture.Visited July 2024Traveled with familyWritten July 23, 2024

When in Prizren, there is no way to miss it, you will end up crossing it multiple times waiting for people having their photoshoots on it. There is possibility of going downstairs from the bridge sides for better angles at taking photos.

Stone Bridge of Prizren old city, is an old bridge which built by the end of 15th century. The Old Bridge consists of three arches, where the middle arch is the largest, whereas the side arches are smaller and are not the same that makes the bridge asymmetric.

Beautiful stone bridge from the Ottoman times. We visited the Prizren old town when the level of the water in the river was low so didn't have the full effect as when the water flows on both sides.

the bridge offers a good view in all directions. It is always crowded and it is in the very heart of the city. Don´t walk on it in high heels, but walk on it if you are downtown.

The original from the 16th century was destroyed by a flood in 1979 and rebuilt in 1982 so it is relatively new. Nevertheless it is quite attractive.

This is the famous stone bridge in the city centre next to the tourist cafe area. This is renovated after the floods.

The bridge is a historic pearl, but having been built somewhere at the end of 15th century, don't expect to find a fence - mind your step while crossing it, but don't miss on it!
