King's Park
About
The Park was opened back in 1910 to honour the coronation of King Nikola, and its new look is a donation by the Government of Azerbaijan, as a gift to the Capital. The Park houses the busts of Bozidar Vukovic Podgoricanin – a state official at the court of Ivan Crnojevic, Azerbaijani poet Hüssein Cavid, as well as a large light-lit fountain and a children’s playground.

King's Park in Podogirca is a beauitiful park located by the riverside. It is quite new - only built about 15 years ago and it was financed by the Azerbaijani government. We came here after a drive from Tivat, as we wanted the kids to just walk around in a leafy place and this was quite a good spot for the kids to play around. There is a beautiful, imperial statue of the former King of Montenegro in here too. The river is not free flowing, but still fairly nice. We enjoyed our visit here very much. Beauitful park indeed.

Really good park to visit not far from the city centre, nicely maintained and clean park with lots to offer with gardens, monuments etc.

I was lucky to visit on a nice day and had lunch in the park and enjoyed the atmosphere with locals walking dogs, exercising and tourists visiting park.

Would highly recommend adding kings park to your itinerary.

Nice park with the monument of King Nikola. The monument for Pushkin is also close. Nice trees and flowers. Only some suspect people...

King's park " has a equestrian statue of King Nicola -I and was established in 1910 to mark the king's coronation. It is situated opposite Hotel Hilton and is a clean large park.Further away from the park is the Ribnica Bridge(Old Bridge) constructed over the Ribnica river that has its confluence with the Moraca river a few meters away from the bridge.Discovered a series of steps from the garden path leading to the gorge below through which the Maraca river flows through Podgorica. There is a small beautiful beach which is free for swimming.

In 2013 Milo Djukanovic, the Prime Minister of Montenegro opened a reconstructed Kings Park. The park was built in 1910, in honor of the coronation of Montenegrin King Nikola, and renovated in 1954. In the renewed park, which is located in the city center, are set the statues of Bozidar Vukovic Podgoricanin, one of the first printers of books on Balkan and the statue of Husein Dzavid a famous Azerbaijan's poet.

(Tripadvisor gives the wrong location of the park.) It is situated on Bulevar Svetog Petra Cetinjskog opposite hotel Hilton. Please note that it is not where the monument of King Nikola monument is situated, but across Ulica Slobode street from it. Not large, but very cozy and nice with a fountain in the middle, which has illumination of changing colors at night. Lots of greenery and flowers. Nice place to have a rest while strolling along Podgorica streets. There is a children’s playground in it too.

Its worthy to walk round the park, minimum effort required, and the small river has nice spots next to the water to relax.

We took an after dinner walk through King's Park with its beautiful monuments and ornate lamp posts. Nice to spend some time to unwind in the city.

This is a lovely park right opposite our hotel (Hilton). Unfortunately, did not get to spend much time here due to the weather. Definitely worth doing if you have time and the weather. It has a number of statues in between all the rest and play areas.

Nice and shady in parts with some interesting trees and plants for those not from this corner of the world. Benches are dotted around for you to sit and contemplate (or just check Facebook or whatever).
