Built in 1957 during the time of communist Yugoslavia and dedicated to the 97 People's heroes of Montenegro. I always visit these sites commemorating the partizans who fought against Italian and German fascism to pay my respect. Podgorica suffered a lot during WOII as it was bombed to pieces by American and British planes several times. The bombardments were requested by Tito and his partizan army. Besides inflicting significant damage to the German military and their chetnik allies, they also led to heavy loss of civilian lives. More than 4000 Montenegrins lost their lives as a result of the bombings.…

Located on Gorica hill, biggest park in Podgorica. The monument itself is very picturesque, with 2 big solier statues and the approaching stars that are similar to ones from Ataturk mausoleum. Also, you can have nice walikng tour around Gorica park, and have coffee on newly openned coffee place near.…

The building itself is nothing special, a really huge creation with two giant solders, who are protecting or watching the gate, leads you ....nobody knows where. Above this you can find a big tomb, without any names, dates, it is addressing every partisans. It is OK for relaxing, during the night the area is full with couples and strollers.…
