We went of a family vacation tour to Montenegro, one of the things we were eager to do was rafting on the Tara river. Since it was still early April not too many companies were responsive or willing to take the challenge. Balkan adventure, were very responsive, gave us important tips regarding the rafting, and were very flexible to attend our needs (my daughter felt unwell and we wanted to postpone the rafting date in a short notice - they happily complied and changed accordingly).
The rafting was excellent and invigorating. we received adequate and proper neoprene suits, shoes and helmets, equipped with a new boat we challenged the Tara streams.
Milko our guide was very friendly and professional, took many pictures, assisted us with our requests, watched over us, stopped the boat to let us take a swim (freezing...), and overall it was one of the highlights of our visit to Montenegro.
I definitely recommend Balkan Adventure, for sports activities and will use their services again next time we travel to Montenegro. thank you guys.

We booked our rafting experience through our hotel Perla Montebay in Prčanj, Montenegro.
The adventure started by a private transfer for 3 hours over the beautiful mountains of Montenegro in the early morning sun. The drive was so stunning that we didn't even notice the distance.
Nemanja stopped a couple of times to allow us to take photos of the lakes and the huge dam en route to the Tara River. He was keen to talk about Montenegro and give us some great tips on what to do with the rest of our holiday.
We arrived at the headquarters for the Balkan Adventure rafting and took a table on the veranda with what was possibly the loveliest view I've ever had the privilege of gazing over for breakfast. It was overlooking the river on the Bosnian border.
As it happened, we were not only the only people booked on the trip meaning we had a raft to ourselves, but we were also one of the only rafts on the whole river that day. The drop-in tourism in 2020 was definitely to our benefit.
We were briefed on safety procedures and commands and clambered into the raft, excited to get started as the temperature in the mountains was a whole lot lower than in Kotor.
The river was a stunning shade of blue and was crystal clear. It's supposed to be so clean that you can drink straight from it so I had to try...they weren't wrong!
We powered through the first few smaller rapids and had plenty of time to just sit and take in the wildlife and scenery too. It was both fun and super relaxing. It was such a treat to have an almost 20km stretch of untouched paradise all to ourselves.
We stopped at a big cliff jump which was fun and also swam at other points on the river. It was so cold it took your breath away but it was so invigorating.
We absolutely loved our day, it was perfect and we wouldn't have changed anything about it. The organisation was faultless and Nemanja really does work hard to ensure his guests have the best time possible. As it turned out it was our favourite day of the entire holiday and we would book one of the other trips (Via Feretta for me, horse riding for my girlfriend) in a heartbeat.

Boat trip from kotor to perast and lady of the rocks.
At the meeting point the guide was 15 minutes late and no one else had knowledge of our arrival.
The guide was nice but told us we only had 10 minutes in perast and 10 minutes at the lady of the rocks. Despite the description of the tour saying “have a nice lunch in perast”. Would have been a rather quick lunch.
Whole trip was estimated to last approximately 2 hours. It barely took one hour and felt very rushed. We would recommend using another agency as many of them offer longer and cheaper trips.
Arrival 12:15 ended 1330. Price 110 euros.
It overall felt like a tourist scam.
When we told the agency how we felt the only thing they could offer was a cut in the price for a climb in 38 degrees. We politely declined.
We have several days in Montenegro and will be using other agencies for those.

We went rafting in the Tara River and Kayakking on lake Skadar, both with Balkan Adventure. Both were amazing experiences, they were incredibly helpful and communication was very easy. Definitely recommend contacting them if you are visiting Montenegro for example!

We had an amazing day with Balkan adventures, this tour is fantastic for everyone who enjoy being in the nature...our guide Darko was professional, ATVs easy to drive and the lake was gorgeous...l would highly recommend this tour to everyone visiting Zabljak!

We booked three tours via Balkan Adventure (hiking, rock climbing, rafting) and Nataša who was assissting us was absolutely amazing: very responsive, super helpful, giving useful advice and making sure we get the tours we wanted. Our original flight was cancelled, so we had to move tours around and Nataša made it so easy for us. If you are travelling to Montenegro, this is your travel agency!

We did the 6 day self-guided balkan Trail tour, what a fantastic far away sights! It was perfectly arranged, the accommodations were top notch and the food was delicious. Marigona responded quickly and made sure everything went well! Even when the eea had to be converted, she anticipated quickly and everything was perfectly arranged. Would definitely recommend them.

We booked a private 5 hours boat tour on the Kotor bay. We got a modern motor boat, with a local and friendly skipper/guide who new the bay really well and brought to some hidden gems. He also took us to a really good fish restaurant for our lunch. Perhaps one of the better/the best experience during our Balkan tour!

This is a fun adventure to do while in Kotor! We wanted to climb the steps for the great views but instead tried the via ferrata. Our guide was excellent and patient, and the experience was very worthwhile, esp for the views at the end. Best day of our vacation!
