First I learned about this church in Perast from a local artist, from whom I bought an oil painting. I thought that the artist used far too bright colours but when I saw "Our Lady on a Rock" church in reality, I couldn't believe the...More

We went here for a wedding and it was very hot inside but so beautiful! It was so romantic and we loved that it was like an island. Beautiful

This church is very attractively situated on a man-made island in the middle of Kotor Bay. I recommend having a local guide explain the history of the church and to point out the special aspects of the icons and the various gifts that have been...More

Most visitors pass this lovely little town on the way to Kotor, we indeed also did this but decided to call in on the return journey, so glad we did, it is a lovely small and pretty little town, i could see myself staying here...More

On our tour of Kotor, we were also taken to this island via a small boat. Before leaving, our guide told us the story of the Lady of the Rocks and told us to bring a small rock so that we also could add to...More

Our lady of Rocks, is beautiful, but can be overly crowded and you do not need too much time there. It is a very small "island" in the middle of the lake. I had expected it to be a bit different. I loved the views...More

There is little to see once you reach the Church, but the joy in visiting is the journey. For just 6 Euros this was well worth the short trip across the bay to the island for the views of the Church and neighbouring Sveti Juraj...More

Weren’t quite sure what to expect but we were delighted by it. A five minute boat ride over to a tiny, man-made island with just one building. The boat cost 5 euros per adult (our 5 year old was free) and we weren’t expecting much...More

Our gate one guide turned us over to a private tour guide that took us to the man made Island of Our lady of the rocks. This island took centuries to build as it was formed by sailors sinking ships and other material in the...More

It was enjoyable driving from Kotor center to Perast. The road was on the coast and I stopped the car to take pictures mostly. Small islands looks beatiful from Perast and Lady of the Rocks has so many legends...Boka Bay is attractive in all seasons.

Not sure about the paperwork. But yes you can visit the island and speak to the staff at the church, they should be able to give you the right information. They did mention that it is often booked for weddings. Good choice... More

Sorry for the delay, I've been travelling. I only know about the boat ride to the little island church, which is a round trip of about 2 - 3 hours. Well worth the experience.
