An icon of Montenegro & well worth visiting this special shrine ...
Sep 2019
... even if for only 20 or 30 minutes.
A Ferry or Blue Bus will get you to Perast from Kotor Old Town & Little boats from Perast shuttle you over to this unique man made island.
You can see pretty much all there is to see within 30 minutes but the photo opportunities are endless.

A Treasure in Montenegro
Aug 2019
A cruise boat from Kotor is well worth taking to visit The Lady of the Rocks church in Perast. A beautiful well preserved little church, which houses numerous gifts given over the years and preserved and treasured within the church. Situated in a quaint island location, a guided tour gives insight into the church's history.

An hour's visit
Aug 2019 • Family
The Lady of the Rocks in Perast, is a cool place to visit if you are in the Kotor area. Can easily spend an hour visiting the Church, the museum, taking pictures and just sitting at the water's edge to gaze at Perast and the mountains. We paid 5 euros per person for a round trip 5 minute ferry from Perast. Just tell the ferry driver how much time you intend to spend there and he will come back accordingly to pick you back.

Nice trip, but basic price is too high
Aug 2019 • Friends
First and foremost: try to bargain for a better price. 5€ per person for the boat trip is too high, taking into account 2€ for visiting the church its not worth it. After a while we got 3€ per pearson with no problem or quarrel.
Beside this, place is nice, views beautiful. You have to pay for seeing the church, but frankly there is not much to see other than architecture. No descriptions or anything.
Overall its OK. Nothing more, nothing less.

Lovely spot
Aug 2019
A place of local mythology and beliefs. Today is a tourist place, but with lot of spirit and small things to explore. Be aware of boat drivers - you can always find the better one to drive you for 5 euro return journey. The photo safari is better on sunset time. Enjoy!

Well worth a visit

Take a little ferry from Perest over to this pretty little island. There isn’t much there but the museum/church is really lovely and definitely worth the trip. There seemed to be so many flowers every where it was really pretty. Ferries run to and fro all the time so you never have to wait long to get one back.
