Although not a large place, it gives visitors a sense of calmness and peace. I met one or two older clergymen doing daily chores there, and they were very friendly. The place is well kept. I particularly like the little garden with variety of flowers. If in the neighborhood, the monastery is well worth a visit.

We were on a mission to visit few of the monasteries within Frushka Gora NP.
Krusedol monastery is awesome. Build in XVI as part of Nemanjici Dynasty endowment.
There are two layers of frescoes on the wals the original ones are done in Bysantum style, and 200 yrs later second layer was applied in Barock style by the monks of the Ukrainian school of painting.
Worth time and effort getting to.

We were taken to this monastery as part of a day tour which we booked via our hotel in Belgrade. The surrounding scenery of the Fruska Gora hills is very picturesque and the monastery is set in large grounds and entered through an impressive pink gatehouse. If you come at the weekend you may find a baptism taking place in the church as this is considered to bring luck in future life. The church is important as it contains the remains of members of Serbian royal dynasties.

Krusedol Monastery is one of the some orthodox monasteries located in Fruska Gora National Park, in Vojvodina Region, in Northern Serbia. It is a religious place, which was built in 16th Century and nowadays it continues to work. It has a red wall surrounding the main buildings. In side the wall there is a big park and a some buildings, where the religious community life, and the main church in the center. Interesting place, pitifully when we arrived before 9a.m. the church was closed (November-2019).

The grounds of this monastery are rather expansive. The decorations and landscaping are a bit on the minimalist side, but the Barque influences are clearly evident.

Located on the Fruška Gora mountain in the northern Serbia, in the province of Vojvodina, the monastery (Serb Orthodox) is located in the beautiful settings. A forest on one side, and lots of greenery within the monastery's perimeter, all give a sense of tranquility and inner beauty. Vibrant red new gate was built in just around 2009, while the monastery itself was built between 1509 and 1514.
Thanks to the hospitable environment of Fruška Gora, there are also over a dozen Serbian Orthodox monasteries located on this mountain. According to historical data, these monastic communities were historically recorded since the first decades of the 16th century.
The Krušedol monastery is shown on the 5 Dinar coin.
Fruška Gora Monasteries were declared Monuments of Culture of Exceptional Importance in 1990, and are protected by Republic of Serbia.

Krusedol is one of the three Fruska Gora monasteries we visited (the others were Novo Hopovo and Stari Hopovo monasteries). Krusedol has similarities to Novo Hopovo (the outside monastery is rectangular, is yellow with a red roof and the church is embedded in the courtyard inside) but the church is smaller, different architecturally and not as old or as beautiful on the outside. However, the inner frescoes are amazing (no picture taking allowed) and quite different (much darker), the inner courtyard is beautifully dressed up with flowers and the outer entrance (which is red and looks like a church) and walk-in to the monastery itself are more striking. It is a nice contrast to Novo Hopovo and I would suggest visiting both.

Beautiful small monastery situated in a National Park. Well kept/renovated buildings. Calm and peaceful orthodox church and small gift shop selling religious items.

Our Croisi Danube River cruise scheduled our visit to this wonderful orthodox monastery and church located out in the countryside. There are pear orchards. The monks work at producing pear brandy for sale and produce an excellent product.

This is a must. What a nature. What a place. The architecture and the monks. They sell they own honey so nice. Above the monstery there was an amazing restaurant with Serbian food, it was one of a kind atmosphere, because horse riders all dressed up in their gear stop by, tied their horses near and set down for dinner too. We loved it, the whole feeling there.
