Just a lovely little museum with some beautiful eggs from all over the world and Letitia's amazing hand decorated eggs. A recorded guide is provided to explain the eggs on display. We listened in English and my husband also listened in French which provided more detail. We purchased several eggs to give as gifts and they made the journey to the U.S. intact!

We spent two hours in this museum. The mother, Delia, was such a wonderful person. My wife translated for me and then a couple from New York came in and she translated for them. The place is a little hard to fine otherwise a wonderful experience. They design and color eggs there, have eggs for sale and with the over 3000 eggs from 79 different country's the time spent here was a fabulous experience.

This is a small, fascinating Museum of Painted Eggs, run by a family. If you visit Bucovina, this is a must see. They have thousands of eggs, in different sizes, from all over the world, panited or decorated in many amazing models. Ms Orsivschi, who is the owner and curator, is collecting and painting eggs for many years now.
Some of the staff speaks little English, but there is a recorded tour. After the tour, you can choose and buy eggs painted by the owner of the museum.
Free parking is available in front of the museum. Pictures are not allowed inside.

Spent there a couple of hours our family head from those eggs and egg shaped other configurations from all over the world.
The museum is hidden within a small village but exhibition is plentifu the owner herself.
Just go with no pressure, gaze, observe and relax.

We visited the museum in May, it is LEI 5 per person to enter, which was announced when we were leaving. I think the word museum is not correctly used, it is more like a house/ shop showing all the eggs the lady has painted over the years with awards from the International community and also some eggs from other parts of the world. Very well presented and stylishly done. Children and adults can also try their hand a painting eggs
The eggs are beautiful and they are amazing how they are painted but perhaps it is just me, but after 5 minutes seeing different eggs and being told how they were done, it was enough for me. Worth a detour to go and see it as it is close to the monastery at Sucevita but personally whilst I recognise the art and the pain staking way in which they are produced it was not interesting to me

This small but fascinating Museum of the Painted Egg is a don't miss sight while visiting Bucovina. Painted eggs of every size from gecko to ostrich are all painted with almost every imaginable scene and design. Ms Orsivschi who is the owner and curator has amassed this collection over many years. She speaks little English but there is a recorded tour. The eggs range from old to modern and are from all over the world. You could easily loose yourself for 2 hours there.

We just returned from a wonderful 2 week trip to Romania and were fortunated to visit this museum and meet Letitia, the artist. We arrived at the museum just before closing and Letitia's mother was kind enough to stay over and give us a tour of this amazing collection of eggs from all over the world. She speaks Romanian but we were with our guide who interpreted for us. The eggs are displayed in glass cases in mainly one room. Letitia arrived just before we left and is very friendly and welcoming--we were treated as friends instead of tourists. Before leaving the Suceava area we returned to the museum and were able to see her doing a demonstration of her technique. We purchased several of her beautifully designed eggs which are well packed and survived the trip home in my suitcase. This is a unique and fascinating place to visit. Did not think I would be that interested in this museum but the variety and beauty of the collection was worth the time. There were eggs from lots of different countries and they were well organized. They give you a headset with directions and explanation in your language. The lady that owns the museum and does the collection is a really sweet person.

Daily, we dedicate our attention to the content of an egg. Here, the empty shell is the focal point! Painfully selected and painted, egg shells of all natural sizes, from many countries, are on display. Beside decoration, the paintings are storry tellers and compositions on subjects as family, tree life, happiness, luck...

I went to this place because my wife and sister-in-law love painted eggs. I expected just another place with cute eggs. I was blown away. This is real art. I was impressed by the thoroughness of the research the artist has done world over to understand this art. The world perspective is then compressed to the bucovinean world of symbols and expressed flawlessly by the skill of the artist. It was worth every minute spent there.
