I have visited before but this time spent more time in the actual church attached to the Monastery. Very old and although in need of restoration it has some very fine features.

Worth visiting, especially during spring. I come here often, I like running up the hill. Monks are very nice, they gave me once carrott soup. 😊 The place is so peaceful, it's calming to just sit on the grass and enjoy birds chirping.

Cetatuia Monastery is located on a place where you can admire the city of Iasi. The monastic assembly is very beautiful. It encompasses all classical settings. The church is a special building, being a special piece of architecture.

This is a well preserved specimen of the typical church-monastery conglomerate you'd see all around this area of Romania - this one is unique in how well it is preserved, mostly in original form.
