Dec 2019 • Friends
Natural view of good rice terraces. Road though is really curvy which i do recommend to take anti vertigo in advance.

Very nice
Sep 2017 • Solo
It's not at all like the rice terraces of Banaue as the depth and area is different, so it wouldn't be fair to compare them. Visited this on the way to another attraction but it was worth the stop.

Less known rice terraces in Cordillera
Jan 2017 • Friends
While almost everybody is familiar with the world famous Banaue Rice Terraces, less people have heard of other similar rice terraces in the Cordillera region. One example of such less known terraces would be those in Brgy. Bay-yo in Bontoc ... a place perhaps more known for Sagada (with its caves, hanging coffins, and so forth).

The Bay-yo terraces are used for inter-cropping, meaning what they plant there depends on the season of the year. However, they usually plant rice, potatoes and vegetables there. You'll pass by the area if you travel from Sagada or Bontoc to Baguio City. This is a very long trip (taking you around 5-6 hours), but the road condition is very good, the scenery is very beautiful, and the zigzag roads are quite challenging! When you decide to take this road, be sure to stop by Brgy. Bay-yo to see its wonderful terraces. Breathe some fresh air, take lots of selfies, and try the local freshly brewed coffee! :D

A heritage
Jul 2017 • Solo
I recommend you to stop by and admire the beauty of the place. Another UNESCO heritage site in Bontoc worth visiting. It's free and accessible to all types of vehicles. They have a view deck and have a picture with the famous mountain warrior. The folks are friendly and the village is peaceful.

Village life & rich culture
May 2017 • Business
Great to walk to this village with rich culture. Traditional rice cultivation is still practiced. Love the the circular mounds where they plant sweet potato.

A village down the winding road
Nov 2016 • Friends
It was another great view to see this wide terraces fron the road looking down to a village cluster. The church is visible too. I wonder how they will go out quick from this village when they are down below the roadside.

Goods and produce could be a heavy haul to bring it up. It is their way of life, They can answer to this question. I am sure they have been there for a long time.

Great views after a long drive to Ifugao
Mar 2017 • Couples
Great views from the road. Its a long windy 10+ hour drive from Manila to Ifugao Province with some difficult roads, lots of slow tricycles and jeepneys. We took a private van with driver/tour guide - and arrived refreshed. Got to stop whenever we wanted to take a photo or eat. Our driver knew where the decent Comfort Rooms were too, which my wife liked. In all we did a 5 day tour of northern Luzon. A very good safe experience with nothing to complain about. The price was agreed before we left. The van provides a good view and comfortable ride. This driver knew the area very well and helped organise the itinerary. I can provide his contact details - contact me through TripAdvisor.

Stunning Rice Teraces
Apr 2016 • Couples
Bayyo Rice Terraces is located along the Bontoc-Banaue Road. You can view this stunning vista along the road. It is around 30-40 minutes drive from Bontoc Poblacion.

Amazing structure and amazing views as are all the rice terraces in the region.

Good Views
Oct 2015 • Friends
This is one of the rice terraces in the Mountain Province. When you see the rice terraces you will see the engineering feat and ingenuity of these marvels. Great planning by the Igorots(the ingenious people) I must say!
