We booked a tour from Lima to Nazca to fly over the lines around 6 months in advance. The entire time the communication with Jon, the manager of the company was excellent. We drove with a small impeccable bus from Lima (driven amazingly by Juan Carlos), then we took the plane over the lines and in the end paid a visit to Paracas National Reserve. The Cessna pilot did an amazing job, making sure everyone gets to see the lines. Man, from start to finish the whole experience was wow, 10/10. Thank you Jon and whole team, Nazca Flights set the bar really high!

We had only a limited amount of time to spend in Peru and we really wanted to see the Nazca Lines. Thanks to Jon Green at Nazca Flights we were able to arrange a private full day tour from Lima. The tour included a comfortable drive back and forth from Lima to Pisco Airport, and a great flight on a larger Cessna Grand Caravan, where passengers are guaranteed a seat with a window. Jon, our driver Benjamin, and our guide at the Pisco Airport, Eduardo were professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Benjamin and Eduardo made sure we had a great day and were fully prepared for the flight so that we could have the best experience possible. Nazca Flights provide an exceptional, efficient and timely service ( we didn't have to get up that early and we were back in Lima before dinner time) that we highly recommend. Thanks Jon, Benjamin and Eduardo for an excellent experience.

Straightforward tour well-managed by Jon Green the owner. Taxi was right on time at hotel. The driver took me right onto the bus (it turns out we were supposed to get a bus ticket first but the bus operator in the end didn't insist on it). The bus was very comfortable and the ride smooth and uneventful. The airport was almost abandoned but modern, and you had no trouble finding the aircraft. Views were good for all. The pilots were very adept at making sure both sides saw each glyph. On this particular day the flight was smooth. What a unique experience.

When planning a visit to Machu Picchu or the Atacama or any point in South America you should consider a visit to the mysterious Nazca Lines, strange geoglyphs ( very large scraped drawings) that were hiding in plain sight for more than a thousand years until humans could enjoy powered flight and see them.
Nazca is definitely out of the way but you can get there and back from Lima in a comfortable day with Nazca Flights.
The owner, Jon Green was quick to respond to my request and accommodated my time of day needs for pick up.
The driver Benjamin showed up right on time driving a late model comfortable sedan and we drove to a nearly new airport in Pisco where I boarded a 12 passenger Cessna for the amazing flyover. Benjamin accommodated or predicted my every need and was beyond professional grade. Every passenger get a window and the pilot passes each geoglyphs twice, once each to optimize the view for each side of the plane.
One can only guess why these drawing were made but seeing them held fascination for me and this trip was great.

We have traveled a long distance at great expense to see this magic site from a birds eye view.
Most regrettable we had a pilot more interested in showing his and the airplan’s capability and cutting short the flight time.
Not recommended under this conditions.

The Nazca lines were a main draw for visiting Peru, and when I started researching, I wasn’t sure the best way to see them or even which companies were legit. Went in April 2024 with Nazca Flights and was so thrilled with the experience I’m leaving my first review here in 7 years.
The company’s service was meticulous from clearly explaining documentation needed and answering multiple questions, and as the flight drew near, giving exact hotel pickup time and tips for minimizing ill effects from the tilting of the small Cessna (so passengers on both sides can see the lines - everyone has a window seat). I was worried about that as well as being carsick from the drive, but it was a straight highway down to Pisco and only one person on our flight seemed a bit queasy. The pilot overflew many geoglyphs and both the pilot and the first officer made sure we spotted and got pictures of everything below. A dream!
Jose, our driver, was courteous and informative with a comfortable large van and although it seemed the flight might be delayed due to electricity going out at the airport (needed for refueling) the delay was not difficult. In all, given the base cost of the flight and the service provided, Nazca Flights and their routing via Pisco was a great way to go.

We had such a great experience on this tour. It was impeccably organized, both in terms of preparation before the tour as well as during the tour. I traveled with my 14 year old son.
Our driver Jose was as polite and forthcoming as one could ever hope for, and was a passionate and well informed storyteller of all things Nazca and Peru, of culture and history.
We were picked up in Lima and drove down to Huacachina for a dune buggy ride over the sand dunes, something I highly recommend - it was beautiful to see and felt completely safe.
After that we drove to Pisco and the airport. Our driver made sure our paperwork was in order and that we were able to get checked in to the flight.
The flight itself felt very well organized as well, managed by a local airline. I never felt unsafe in the airplane. The flight to Nazca was an experience in itself, flying over beautiful sand dunes and mountain ranges. At Nazca we covered all of the lines ones by one. It was a lifelong dream to see them and such a good experience actually doing it. The pilot made sure that everyone got a chance to see each line and explained what they were and how to spot them, both in Spanish and in English.
All in all it was a great tour. It felt safe, local and so much fun!

I booked a private tour for the Nazca Lines flight and included the Huacachina stop. As a solo traveler who doesn’t speak much Spanish I paid the high fee for this tour thinking I would have an English speaking guide who I could learn from. I was wrong. I had a driver who doesn’t speak any English so we couldn’t communicate with each other and no guide so I didn’t learn anything about the history, people, or culture of the places in Peru we were passing through which I thought was what I was paying for with a private tour. It basically was just a taxi service that picked me up and dropped me off in the different places. Which I probably could’ve arranged on my own for a lot less than what they charged me. By the end of the day I got tired of having to ask basic questions through a translation app and I wasn’t enjoying the experience so I skipped the dune buggy ride and asked to come back to Lima. It’s a shame because all the tours I booked in Cusco and the Sacred Valley were excellent with English speaking guides and I learned a lot about the history and culture. This was the most expensive one and I didn’t learn anything at all.

It was a great trip and I would recommend it to everyone. From the very beginning, I contacted Jonathan, the contact person, who always patiently answered and solved my questions; the driver Benjamin and the tour guide Susan were also very good. Benjamin drove on time, safely, and courteously, and Susan was friendly and professional. Although our English is not very good, Susan always explained the historical allusions and origins of the Inca civilization and the Nazca Lines very carefully. We had a wonderful and enjoyable day.
Although the cost is not cheap, it saves 12 hours of bus time to and from Nazca Airport, and we also visited the Ballestas Islands in the middle, so I think it is well worth the trip.

We booked a private 2 day tour that included the Nazca lines flight, Huaccachina dune buggy ride, Paracas Reserve and Ballestas Islands. Our driver/guide was Jose R. and he was fabulous! He was professional, helpful, knowledgeable and his English is excellent. Jose was high energy and accommodating throughout the trip. He always had our best interests in mind.
If we weren't at the end of our Peru trip, we would have engaged Jose as a tour guide for Lima and the surrounding area.
I worked with Jonathan to book our trip and he was great. He answered my emails quickly, regardless whether it was the evening or a weekend.
Overall a great experience and highly recommend Nazca Flights.

Did they asked for passport info to book the bus ride to Ica?
Written June 18, 2019
Not for the bus ride but if you are taking the Nazca Flight, they would need to see your passport.

Probably the best to contact the seller as I was part of a group.
Hope it helps.

I'll be in Lima on a Princess cruise in December. We dock in Callao in the morning and sail out the following day in the afternoon.
Is there time to see the Nazca lines?
Written May 2, 2017
Yes, it is possible as the bus trip is only a day trip. Only thing is you might have to do a personal tour as the bus tours leave around 5-6 AM from Lima and drop you back around 7-9PM depending on traffic and your location in Lima.

Hi there -- was the bus to/from Pisco a motor coach? Looking for level of comfort. Was it easy to sleep/rest on the bus? Thanks!
Written April 13, 2017
We caught a Cruz del Sur coach from Lima to Ica and used Nazca flights. Bus leaves early from Lima but is extremely comfortable and with leg room reclining seats, blankets et al . No problems whatsoever.
Written April 14, 2017
Pam. can you please tell me which company you went with to enable you to have only a 6 seater to view the Nasca lines? We will be in Lima and have to get to Ica for our flight. What time did you depart for the Lines? Thanks!
Written March 18, 2017
I cannot remember the name, however all the planes that were there that morning were 6 seater, only 4 passengers. We bought the tickets in Huacachina, , a car picked us up at 6 am took us to the bus terminal and the bus drove us to Nazca terminal. A taxi picked us up and took us to the airport.

Arriving Paracas June 27 &looking to see Nazca Lines from Pisco Airport June 28. You recommend booking with Jon Green. Can you provide link?
Written June 16, 2016
Trip advisor won't let me add links for some reason, but the website name is Nazcaflights (one word), type that into google and it will show up as one of the first links.
Have fun :)

Which flights over better viewing for the lines--the smaller planes that fly at 200meters or the 12 seater that flies around 400 meters? Is there a differerence in viewing or turbulence?
Written December 7, 2015
I've flown on both size planes. This year I had 16 people and they split us between the two larger planes. I liked that there was a pilot and a narrator. On the smaller planes the pilot is the narrator and of course, you are closer to the lines. I did not notice any difference in the turbulence with either experience.
Written December 17, 2015
How is the flight from Pisco? Was there a lot of Turbulence? I don't do well in small planes (anxiety) but I am determined to do this trip with meds. I just want to know what I will be up against.
Written September 11, 2015
We didn't find the flight difficult in any way . Air sickness is a problem for some people. No one on our flight had a problem. There is no harm in taking a pill a few hours earlier

I am planning Nazca flights within the next few dates. Any new updates?
Written April 22, 2015
I was there on March 31st (2105) and it was great, the weather was perfect and you could see the lines perfectly. Don't have a big breakfast that day, and if you can, take something for nausea, as planes are small and keep tipping left and right. You need to know that you will invest a whole day for a 30 minutes tour, but if this is in your bucket list is worth it. In our case we took a 2 day tour that included Paracas, Huacachina and Ica, and it made it better. If you have a choice and you will spend a night, try to do it in Paracas, they have nice beaches. Enjoy
