Nice collection

A surprisingly nice museum in Ica, with a nice collection of artifacts and some mommies. Expanantions are available in English, and the museum is quite interesting. The tour will.take you between 30minutes and 1h, and I would say it is worth it.
Going to the museum will cost you 3 soles with a tuctuc from Plaza de Armas.

This is a small museum, in which there is really many interesting, most of captions are in Spanish, but main things are translated correctly.

I would highly recommend them to make a little souvenir shop, because you can't take photos there.

The museum has very impressive and interesting artifacts, mummies, ceramics, textiles etc. You see and learn stuff.
Unfortunately most of the information was in spanish!
I would prefer a more international approach for visitors coming from far away.
They should have information in english too.
The museum needs more attention inside and outside.
No photos are allowed to be taken.
The shop and cafe outside the museum were closed. Maybe we were unlucky at the time. We saw from the window that the shop did not have much to sell as souvenirs.
The ticket has reasonable price and also there is a student ticket.
Toilets were clean. Staff was kind.
(We didnt ask for a tour guide - I do not know if they have - maybe you should ask if you like or you need one.)
Go!!

The museum is amazing, has relics from several ages, mummies and skeletons. The cranial deformation is impressive. Is a small museum, but worth the visit. If you like history, you must go. The ticket is cheap, only 7,50 soles. They don't let take pictures to preserve the relics. Unfortunately there aren't much visitors, I went there in the morning and there was only 2 couples visiting the whole time that I was there.

In the beginning, I thought it would be a waste of time to go to this museum but I'm glad I did. There was so much information that I learned with the group. You will absolutely love learning about the ways the pumping systems work in Ica and how technological advances have been used so that people can continue living in Ica.

A wonderful museum of the Paracas,Nasca, and Huari cultures.

Well organized and chronologically coherent, this small museum has some real treasures from the pre-Inca cultures that dominated the area.

The highlight of that tour was the diorama of the Nazca Lines. There are also huacos and relics of ancient pre-inca cultures. A definite must!

Good Cross section

This was well worth doing. More than other museums it shows the technology of the Paracus culture (most sophisticated) to Nazca to Inca (least sophisticated).
