Last month (May 2019) two friends and I completed the 4-day Santa Cruz Trail near Huaraz, Peru, with Peru Mountain Climb, and it surpassed my expectations. This was my second trek in 3 years with Yessica, the thirty-something Quechua speaking female owner of the company. The first was a trek three years ago around Ausangate near Cusco on to the Painted Mountain which was awesome. Both then and last month she and the crew worked hard to make sure that we had a great experience. The tents and other equipment were excellent and didn’t leak in the rain (very important). The stark mountain beauty of the Cordillera Blanca was incredible – really breathtaking. Yessica, her crew and we three clients had fascinating conversations about Peru’s past and present. We faced challenges but they were all manageable with Yessica’s foresight and encouragement. I will remember the gorgeous mountain scenes and the camaraderie forever. I am 69 years old but with any luck I plan to return one day to Peru and do the Alpamayo trek with Peru Mountain Climb. John Braun, San Francisco"

My friends and I did a trek with Peru Mountain Climb and were absolutely satisfied with our experience. Yessica the owner is very conscientious and well-organized, reliable and knowledgeable. I have to admit that I sometimes feel a little awkward hiking with a stranger but I quickly found her to be an easy person to spend time with, we all did. Our original plan was to do the 11 day Alpamayo trip, with some shorter acclimitization hikes beforehand, but some health and weather issues forced us to change things up. Yessica was very flexible and accomodating and came up with a new plan that worked well for us: a 2 day trek in Quebrada Quilcayhuanca, the 4 day Santa Cruz Trek, and a 3 day basecamp below Laguna 69 near the Llaganuco Lakes, plus various dayhikes while staying in Huaraz. Pretty darn good food by her cook Jorge, too! Additionally she helped me a lot with details of some stuff I did on my own visiting the Callejon de Conchucos (Chacas and Huari). Great company to hire!

Had an awesome time with Peru Mountain Climb, one of the greatest experiences of my life. Would definitely recommend doing a mountain trek with them. My friend and I climbed Mt Vallunaraju which had breath taking views and left me amazed. Everything went perfect on the trek, all the organizing done by Yessica was smooth and no detail was forgotten which is important when you are focused on the hike ahead. Gorge the trekking guide was first class, he was a champion who did everything he could for the best possible climb and experience. This is obviously something I will never forget for all the right reasons. Also Yessica helped me organize my time in Cusco which was also perfect couldn't of asked for any more.
