Eco Ice was absolutely faultless in every way! We had been in Huaraz (Back in July) for about 4 days bouncing from one climbing agency to another, and very fortunately stumbled upon Eco Ice. We wanted to climb Pisco and Yanapacha, and Orlando (The Owner), was professional, accomodating, efficient, very knowledgable and arranged everything in less than 24 hours! At the height of the climbing season in Huaraz, this is nothing short of logisitical wizardry. Safety and confidence in the guide is absolutely paramount to us, and even though it was a mission for Freddy (Our Guide) to drive over with hardly any notice from where he lived (Which was a fair distance), gave us the peace of mind that we were in very safe hands. The equipment was clean and of very good quality, and the sleeping bags were brand new, as Orlando had bought a tonne of them prior to the pandemic. Even though the temperature dropped way below zero, due to the quality of the tents and sleeping bags, it was toasty! The food was delicious (3 Hearty meals every day along with a snack bag, kindly prepared by our resident chef Domi) Freddy was attentive, sure footed, encouraging, kind and definitely the type of guide you want leading you when there are umpteen hidden crevasses along with weather that can change in the blink of an eye. As a result of an excellent guide, an amazing cook and Orlando, we safely summited both mountains, without so much as a scratch.....and we truly feel blessed to have had this experience, which will most definitely remain with us for the rest of our lives and which is why we are heading back next year to do Huascaran with them. When we arrived back in Huaraz, we were dirty, hungry, tired and Orland greeted us with his winning smile and a delicious home cooked meal, which was truly the icing on the cake. I cannot recommend Eco Ice enough, they are truly ace.

Our Santa Cruz Trek with Eco Ice Peru was at all levels exceptional ! We didn’t expect so many attentions, our guide Edith was so nice and we really enjoyed speak with her, the food prepared by Roman our cooker was very good (we get food 5 times each day !), and every evening when we finished the walk, the camp was ready thanks to Avelino our arriero. Orlando the owner of the agency will organize your trek perfectly and can help you to choose the best trek for you. Thank you all guys for this amazing trip and definitely if you want to hike Santa Cruz or other trek close to Huaraz, we highly recommend you to go with Eco Ice Peru !

Orlando was extremely helpful before our trek: he was always available to answer questions via WhatsApp and made sure we felt comfortable to do the trek. The actual trek was amazing. Tallest mountains I've ever seen, and our team of guides, which consisted of a donkey driver, a cook, and our guide, Javier, was stellar. They did everything they could to accommodate us on our journey. I highly recommend Eco Ice for trekking in the Cordillera Blanca—I don't see how a guided tour could get any better than this. The ONLY hesitation is the altitude: you'll be mostly around or above 14,000', which can make for some restless nights and tough hiking days. Don't fret too much though: as long as you're in decent shape, the guides will be able to take care of any troubles you have. Please remember to tip your guide team!

The entire experience was incredible. The biggest highlight was how organized Orlando and his team were from the booking process to the actual trek. Everything was perfectly orchestrated from the preliminary slide show on the route/packing in the office, the good food, tent setup, and transportation. We met a couple people doing the trek on their own and they expressed how hard it had been doing it solo. For the price, this is the absolute way to go (guide, food, donkeys...).
