I took a four night, five day mountaineering course with Go 2 Andes on Yanapaccha. From my first interaction with Christian (the owner) I was impressed with his patience, knowledge and willingness to help. The trip itself was excellent - Willy is one of the best guides I have ever worked with and the rest of the team - Freddy, Chito and Edilberto all were fantastic. Could not recommend Go 2 Andes enough for the end to end experience.

My wife and I have done several treks and this was hands down the best experience and guide. Christian (the owner) responds quickly in WhatsApp and organized the trip we wanted. What sets this company apart is the attention to detail and knowledge of the mountains. I inquired from several companies in the area about pricing and Go2Andes was more on the expensive side but it was worth every penny (we asked Christian why it was more and loved his response-because they take care of their employees with fair wages and limit the weight carried by donkeys). On the first day we went to his parents house in Llamoc where his mom cooked us breakfast. A truly local experience. Our mountain guide Willy was phenomenal. He loved being in the mountains as much as we did, he was patient with my wife during the more technical parts and had vast knowledge of the mountains. We enjoyed hearing his trekking stories over dinner. Unfortunately our trip was cut short due to my wife getting altitude sickness (even though we did acclimatization hikes, she was on diamox, and drank coca tea). The way Christian and Willy figured out the logistics to get her to a local clinic and descend quickly was impressive. You can’t go wrong booking with these guys, they are top notch.

Go2Andes far exceeded my expectations. They expertly arranged all the logistics of the trip, from meals to transportation to gear and so forth. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and experienced; our camp cook was excellent; and our donkey shepherds were super helpful. They are the only guide company I’ll use whenever I go back to Peru. I just wish they operated elsewhere in the world so I could use them on all my future travels!

We hiked the Cordillera Huayhash with ‘Willy’ as our guide. We were highly impressed with both the organisational professionalism of Go2Andes to begin with, and Willy was a superb guide; the entire experience left very little room for improvement. We’ll be back!
