I heard so much about Inkaland Treks in all places and blogs that I decided to choose them to make my hikings/trekkings in Huaraz. I have no words to describe their service which is door-to-door, using very good cars, driving very correctly and always departing and arriving in the right time to enjoy the days.
Edita is such a lovely person and one day before of the hikings she always ask to meet us and explain everything which is superb!
Mario, who was my guide is such an awesome person, very respectful (I am a woman traveling alone and felt really safe), very patience and joined me in all adventurous!
In time, they served me everyday a wonderful home made meal, very delicious and Mario always very kind to settle the table with all the arrangements and the best locations ever!
Beautiful places, beautiful people. I am seriously missing so much Huaraz. Next year I want to come back and without doubt will ask Edita to arrange me all my trekkings!

We had the best experience with Inkaland treks on every level. We organized everything with them, between day hikes, trekking and transportation and everything went smooth and perfect.

Edita: the owner and the one who communicated with me from day 1 has been extremely supporting since the first day i connected with her. We have been planning that trip together for so long since before the pandemic, and she has always been responding and helping us organize our trip despite the difficult situation and the always changing regulations. All i can say is that Edita made all our plans work out perfectly and helped us achieve everything we requested and more. She is friendly, professional, supportive, honest and will do whatever it takes to make you feel home in Peru. (and she makes good food :D ). We had the best experience in the Peruvian Andes thanks to her.

Diogenes: our guide, and he has been super helpful, funny, experienced, friendly and professional. He made all our hikes and trek so much fun, and we never stopped laughing, making jokes and exploring new places. We loved his enthusiasm to always try new things and explore hidden spots. If going to hike or trek ask for Diogenes and i guarantee you an amazing experience.

Luis: our cook during the trek, Luis has been so friendly and funny. He prepares amazing food and you will never get hungry on your trek. He was always making jokes and keeping the atmosphere alive. And his delicious food will definitely be an important part of your day when you trek in the region. And also he's a very good hiker. Thank you Luis.

Segundino: the one who took care of our tents, bags and campsites. If you like the original cowboys in movies you will definitely find him interesting. A very respectful person, he was always polite, professional and organized. He made everything easy for us in the campsites and we felt safe leaving everything up to him. If we come again to the region to trek we will definitely ask for him.

Mario: our driver, was always on time, a very decent man, respectful and friendly. Even on the worst roads on the mountains Mario was an excellent driver and he made everything look easy.

So overall despite the difficult situation in the country because of Covid, Inkaland team took care of everything and made our trip more than just amazing on every single level. So if you're planning to come to Huaraz look no further than Inkaland treks.

We just completed the 8 days Choquequirao to Machu Picchu trek with Inkaland Treks. The trek also included two great acclimatization hikes with base in Cusco, the Huchuy Qosko-Lamay and the Rainbow Mountain hikes. This is the second time that we trekked with Inkaland. The first time (2016) we did the Cordillera Huayhuash trek (exceptional experience!). This year (2023) we opted for a different kind of trek, which combines visits to fantastic archaeological ruins with hiking in the mountains and into the cloud forest. This trek was very good too; our team – a guide, a cook, an assistant cook/chief horse handler and two horse handlers – took great care of us, providing all we needed for the trek and more. The last day of the trek we had to adjust our original plan for the day, due to a railway strike, and our guide did it efficiently and seamlessly. I would definitively recommend Inkaland Treks for any kind of trek in the Andes. Edita Oncoy, Inkaland General Manager, is deeply committed to her customers and always makes sure that everything is running smoothly and satisfactorily. Thank you Edita!

We are grateful for Inkaland Treks. They took us on a 10day trip around Huayhuash. It was the best trip of my life! The office staff was friendly and made the booking process a breeze. The guide took us on special side adventures such as a beautiful 16k foot peak or waking up at sunrise to see the sun rise over a beautiful mountain. The chef was incredible and so talented. The food was the best I had in Peru. Every day I was in awe at how he could cook such delicious food in such remote wilderness. He even made us a cake and fresh trout ceviche from one of the mountain lakes. I think he should be featured in Outside Magazine for his skills! The gear provided kept us warm. The pricing was great. I am very grateful for this experience and for finding this great company to take us on our adventure. I can't recommend them enough.

We signed up for the 8 day tour of the Huayhuash Trek, and it had a lot of ups and downs, both figuratively and literally!

Due to our own stamina, we ended up bowing out on day 6, but we saw some amazing views and had some great conversations with the staff up until then. The guides were really understanding and helped discuss what our options were for ending the hike early and ensuring we got where we needed to be safely and comfortably.

Despite the natural challenge of altitude hiking, I found the pacing to be reasonable, where we had sufficient time to take breaks and reach our destinations well before sundown. Our guide, Diogenes (Dio for short) knew a lot about the mountains, history of the location, and even shared stories about the type of training it takes to be a guide. He was a wealth of knowledge and clearly knew how to handle any situation. When my partner was having an upset stomach, he had medications and advice at the ready.

The food cooked up was delicious (thanks again Daisy!) and my only real complaint is the portions were so plentiful that I was usually still digesting the previous night's dinner by breakfast. Avoid taking second helpings of the first course until you've at least finished dessert!

Our muleteer, Segundino, was also great. My Spanish and his English weren't good enough to hold any long conversations, but just through his actions he was very friendly and helpful. My partner was fluent enough to bridge the gap.

The evening was always full of good conversation with the staff, sharing ghost stories, histories, or we even brought playing cards to enjoy together.

Overall, I would recommend Inkaland Treks to anyone, for the experience their staff brings and the comfort of their setup. Thanks again for having us!

My girlfriend and I did a private day trip with Edita and InkaLand and were not disappointed!!! It was a magnificent day.

Our driver picked us up right from our front door. He was awesome and very attentive and gave us all the information we needed for our hike to a glacial lake. And Edita was super helpful and super communicative.

We had lunch prepared and set up for us right in front of the lake with mind blowing vistas of the mountain peaks as well. And we were the only ones all day with this magnificent nature all to ourselves.

I couldn't recommend using this company any more. They are awesome!!! :)

I had been planning a trip for my small group to the Huayhuash, and Inkaland Treks was very accommodating and flexible to meet our group’s objectives. The proprietor, Edita set us up with a wonderful guide, Jorge. The itinerary was 15 days, three of which were acclimation hikes. After completing the acclimation hikes, we were physically prepared to take on the 12 day Huayhuash Trek. The scenery is practically without peer, the world over. Jorge and his team, pampered us, and in doing so, we were able to accomplish our goals in spite of the high elevation.

The 3 day trek of Quilcayhuanca to Cojup Valley with Inkaland Treks was an awesome experience. Well organized, great food, and professional friendly fun guides. We enjoyed our time on the trail with Diogenes, Luis, and Justino. Edita gave us great advice in choosing this trek and lining up the trip.
I highly recommend this particular trek and agency. The drive to the trailhead is less than an hour. The scenery is outstanding and the crossing of a high pass at more than 5,000 meters is a great accomplishment.

We are a family from New Zealand, 2 adults and 4 kids aged 12 -17. We did the Laguna 69 day walk and the classic 4D/3N Santa Cruz trek with Inkaland and it was absolutely incredible. Our guide Karina was fantastic, as were the cooks and donkey drivers. It is a spectacular trail, but it’s the care of the team that made it so special. We even got woken every morning with hot tea! The food was excellent - there was so much & us being vegetarian was no problem. A special thanks must go to Edita - when our flight was cancelled and we missed our bus she organized a driver to get us from Lima to Huaraz, she dropped us at the bus station after the trek, and even helped us get some urgent laundry done! We felt really taken care of and part of the family. I would absolutely recommend everyone consider these spectacular hikes, although the altitude is not a joke (it was hard work! The acclimation time/hikes is absolutely necessary) . The Inkaland team are the best, I recommend them wholeheartedly.

The Inkaland team was absolutely incredible. They cared greatly about our comfort and well-being, were full of laughs and extremely kind. The gear was in almost new condition. I ate better every day with Inkaland than I do in my own home! Dinner always started with a hearty, delicious soup and ended with dessert, coffee, and tea. Having warm water and a washcloth TWICE a day was such a special touch. Our guide was incredibly knowledgable about the trail, as well as our health. I became sick and he treated me immediately with appropriate medicine and having the emergency horse available if need be. Their model to spend two days before the trek in Huaraz doing acclimitization hikes was brilliant. We all did incredibly well with the altitude, and our time in Huaraz was great in itself. Cannot recommend highly enough.
