We have been two times at this place. The garden for camping is very nice and quietly. There is a river, mountains, flowers, "lucioles" in the night. The women who take care of this place are very kind, and the cooking is very good. This is a place with a very very big heart. At the front, across the railroad, there is a beautiful garden with lot of orquideas, beautiful birds, a waterfall, and a ceremonial place, where we had a very beautiful moment, offering gifts for Pacha mama with the owners. You have to know this place!

we were told the mandor falls park turns to an enchanted place at night due to the fireflies after dark. Yes this place was amazing, one of the highlights of our Peru trip.

Thank you for your feedback and for contributing to our initiative. Fireflies can still be found here and that means this environment is healthy. In fact fireflies are sensible to habitat reduction, pollution, fires and other human activities and environmental issues. For the last 20 years our compromise is to reduce these impacts and protect the wild habitat in order to let wildlife increase their populations constantly. Thanks to tourism we can keep going on our efforts and get economic support.

This is an interesting walk to get to from town, following the train line. The actual site is beautiful with a wide range of plants and birds/butterflies all around. The waterfalls are well worth the hike to see.
