Singular Valley

Very nice Oasis. Mountains, Palm trees and beautiful landscape. The valley is huge, so take a good time to stay around.

A drive through the Draa Valley will make you witness most colors of a rainbow! The vegetation varies from pine trees to thorny bushes in the desert and the color of the hills from muddy brown to orange (at sunset). The golden desert with its slippery sand is an icing on the cake. You witness 'real' Morocco in the villages... More

Mountains without vegatation, valleys filled with naked stones. And then: One of the largest and most beautiful palm-forest I've ever seen.

Draa valley is one of the most beautiful valley in the south of Morocco. There is so much to see, anybody can go there and find what he looks for. Between mountains, palms trees and desert, every second is a really good thing to remember. From Ouarzazat it just takes about 1h to be in really nice places, the road... More

The Draa Valley has a beautiful scenery. The river is dry and you can ride among the palm trees, bushes and endemic trees.

We had been driving through Morocco for many days. I would not go out of my way to see this sight. The "Anti-Atlas has some excellent photographic view points. But the city of Zagora is not a great destination.

A nice looking valley, lovely palms. Views are somewhat restricted however, as the roads are not above the valley, so half the time you will be staring at the base of palm trees. A pretty place, but it has nothing on the serene and beautiful Ziz Valley to the east, or the road to Tafroute in the west. Miss-able.

Draa valley is one of the richest oasis in the south of Morocco. more than 37 types of dates . two millions and half date palm trees. that s how people make a living of what was called in history the river of the Olives.

Drove through here as part of a 3 night desert safari. Quite breathtaking to be coming down a long, winding road surrounded by the mountain colours of red and orange, and then suddenly see a long valley of green stretching out to the horizon. Beautiful valley, where the palm trees are doing their best to survive with the river receding.
