Markets of Rissani seem colorful and exotic but not any more attractive than Marrakesh or Souk aux Dattes. Same rules apply. Follow the safety rules and mind your belongings and you will have interesting time.

Picturesque and authentic place. Not to be missed, it's like taking a trip in a lost way. A truly unique place.

We had a much better time at this souk compared to any other souks in all the big cities we visited in Morocco. This is by far the most authentic experience with the locals visiting the market. Although we went around 2pm, there were people...More

Rissani, on th edge of the Sahara, has one of the most comprehensive locals markets or souks. All the produce is generally local, most produced in the neighbouring oasis and many handcrafts ranging from carpets to the polished fossils

Definitely one of the best souqs in morocco that we visited. Very authentic and the tourists were few in number so it was basically a local market. Not a tourist market like the souqs are in Fes and Marrakech. We bought a carpet there that...More

We came here with our guide in March 2015. We love visiting markets so it was really fun for us. We could see a little bit about the distribution of the market, and we found quite unique things. We loved buying fresh dates and spices....More
