The whole trip has been perfect. Totally personalized trip.
We are delighted to have known Morocco, the desert and above all, its people.
People like Mohamed and Salah who have treated us wonderfully and have made us feel at home.
We highly recommend traveling with Khamlia Tour, who created a trip according to our needs and tastes, and just for us.
They have accompanied us at all times, since we landed at the airport, until we left, taking care of everything (transfer, visits, accommodation, meals, taxis ...)
We hope to repeat the experience with Khamlia Tour, especially in the desert and the town of Khamlia

This tour was our best experience in Morocco. Mohamed is a warm, charming and admirable person and the tour is a joy and very well planned. We enjoyed our days in the desert and in the casbahs, but mostly our time in Khamlia, where we were welcomed by the town’s musicians. Thanks Mohamed!

I came to Khamlia seeking the Gnaoua musicians and have them teach me how to use the Krakebs/qraqeb. I had no expectations - it was a visit I will remember and cherish for a long time - as the musician young and old welcomed me to their village and showed me kindness, hospitality, friendship and the beauty of simple things in life. Few young men gathered around me and helped me get in rhythm and soon some children were hanging out with me and they too picked up instruments and few hours later - we were all jamming. How awesome is that!! If you are seeking adventures beyond the camel rides in the dunes - Khamila is a must! Moha is very kind and helpful, if you have any questions - he will do his utmost to answer your curious mind.

If you are looking for an experience that comes out of the tourist routine and contribute something to the community in a responsible way, get a great and unforgettable experience and really learn about the Gnawa culture and Berber culture as well, certainly Khamlia Tour is for you. My experience there was not only wonderful, but it is still and will continue to be a journey that will accompany me all my life. I will certainly return after a stay of several months to learn, contribute and establish solid friendly relations. Khamlia Tour will not only give you access to fun and learning, but it will also open the doors to the social and cultural reality of the region, as well as you will learn about the wonderful people of Khamlia are like. I highly recommend Khamlia Tour as it leaves the superficial everydayness of the average tourism where you learn almost nothing and it is not possible to observe the social reality or get into the local culture. The experience of being and learning from children, teachers, community, Gnawa musicians and cultural symbiosis from a different perspective will open the door to an unforgettable memory that you can take with you always, knowing that you did something for the community and support A responsible, alternative and sustainable tourism that nobody in Morocco can give you. I will definitely go back to continue learning from my friends at Khamlia.
Khamlia Tour is also recomended for academics, professors, and students of all kind and disciplines in order to pursue scientific research, taught, thesis and articles !!!!
Thank's a lot for everything Khamlia Tour !!!!!!!

I was lucky to live in Khamlia for some time and it was the time of my life. Its people are the best of the best, always with open arms. There is a beautiful vivac where you can sleep in your own tent at literally the door of the desert. You can also eat the food of the area in a great restaurant they built. Definitely a must stop in your trip to Morocco. MUST!

I lived in Morocco for several years and have traveled extensively, and by far one of my favorite experiences was spending a few days in Khamlia. It is an extremely peaceful community, yet somehow there is always something to do or see. The gnawa musicians and they're families are extremely personable and hospitable, the accommodations are remarkably comfortable, yet I was just a few steps away from the gorgeous, rolling dunes. I loved it so much, I plan to go back! If you want to visit the desert in Morocco, Khamlia is the place for you.

The best month in my life I spend there. Unbelievable fantastic people with a huge heart. The nature, the dunes, the silence, the days and the nights...it's unbelievable. You will not find a better place to come to yourself and getting a new view on the world than there. 🌴🐫🐪🌴

I spend a view weeks in Khamlia where I had a warm welcome from their inhabitants. I enjoyed the daily life in a village that does not seem to know any hectic of modern life - a heart-touching place that radiates peace and harmony that I can only reccomend to discover.

We spent one week with Moha and his family. Incredible experience with kind, honest and funny people.

The cultural experiencie is unforgetable, with the musicians playing and creating their sounds, the history of that people, the engimas of the desert, the food...

Great experience in a cozy, interesting and safe place.

Khamlia is the home of the Sun.
Warm smiles, tender music, delicious tea and food, this is the way the sunny people of Khamlia will welcome you when you visit their place. People of Khamlia do not have much material things. They possess something more precious – big open hearts and love of life. They play and sing gnaoua music, which makes every part of your body vibrate and fills you with joy, energy and power. Healing and purifying. Fantastic and magical is their music!
Still I can feel the fragrance of the bread which is just baked in Khamlia and see the smile of the woman making it. Two hands creating wonders! Holy and mysterious is the way this bread is baked and how it reaches to every home in the village. No words are needed. Just to enjoy the meeting and to speak the language that everyone knows – the one of the heart.
The Sahara desert itself is a piece of Art. You can see it if you attend a camel tour organised by local people. The yellow high dunes are marvelous pictures of Nature, created by the most talented and exquisite of the artists. Touching and moving. How can you forget the wind, which tenderly embraces your face while sleeping in the open and the shining bright stars. Extending your hands you are touching other worlds. Become feeling not alone and blessed to be part of the Great Universe and of the Great Plan of our Loving Creator.
Such were my sensations and experiences at the Home of the Sun – Khamlia (Province Errachidia, Morocco), when I visited it in September 2014 with a group of friends.
