Chefchaoen is a labyrinth. Especially dizzying if you don't speak Moroccan, Arabic or French. There are no street signs, and the locals are likely more interested in selling their wares than give you directions. That said, the kasbah is right in the centre of it...More

Chefchaouen's old city main square with all shops for tourists, artists singing, restaurants trying to chatch every tourist for breakfast, lunch or dinner, riads and hotels with view of the square and city, place where just all happen. Could be nice place to spent hour...More

Very picturesque central square in a very picturesque town. Was last here 45 years ago and little has changed except for the number of people there. Wonderful cafes to sit and people watch.

The square is a lovely place to sit. There are restaurants around here, but make sure to avoid the one to the right of Morisco as it is a tourist scam (we were served pasta and ketchup). The waiters from there will try to hassle...More

Place Uta el-Hammam is not overwhelmingly attractive in its own right but it is the centre of town so has a lot going on. There are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops around the perimeter. Most streets lead to and from the square. There is...More

A lovely smallish old town, lots of little artisan shops with homemade wares for sale. Feels very authentic.

The centre of Chefchaouen, cafes, restaurants, souks, the Kasbah. What a lovely place and nice people. It is like stepping back in time, gone is the high pressure selling of Marrakech and Fes. Instead we have a lovely, unique medina with genuine people. We were...More

You will love to have a coffee or a lunch in one of surrounding restaurants. The place is very nice, but rather crowded although I was here in low season... Anyway it is the true heart of medina.

The square was so crowded with people, restaurants, and sellers. The Kasbah and the mosque were also located in here. I loved sitting one of the restaurants, snacking and having a cup of coffee, did the people watching.
