We booked a private chauffeur with Eco Holidays. Our driver, Vic, was incredible. We toured the South West of Mauritius for the full day. Vic also acted as our tour guide, incredibly knowledgable and couldn’t have asked for anyone better, even took us to a traditional Mauritian style restaurant off the beaten track, beautiful it was. The view points and sights were unbelievable. The falls, Hindu temple, 7 coloured earth, volcano - all a must see and would recommend Eco Holidays to anyone visiting Mauritius.

My tour for the day Dhiren and our driver Shraj arrived promptly and were courteous and polite throughout. The tour encompasses all of the highlights of the south west of the island and although it is a busy schedule, I didn't feel rushed. Not only that, they went out of their way to make sure that we found, picked and ate guavas at the roadside; nothing was too much trouble for them. I'd recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the key sights of this part of the island.

First time I booked a tour via Tripadvisor. Smooth buying process and quick confirmation per email and phone to confirm pick-up place and time. We had a private tour in a taxi with a driver and tour-guide.
Although it was little raining and sunny on and off it was great to see all the highlights. It includes lunch and rhum tasting. It is efficient and comfortable to be driven around and also to hear about the history.
If you only have a few days, do this tour and keep the rest of days to relax on the beach/ resort.

Bad experience in a hotel called The Ravenala Attitude Balaclava Point aux Piment.
Family and I went for a day use with all the facilities of the hotel and lunch also all inclusive but unfortunately after spending 7k. We were so disappointed by the service and poor quality of welcoming.
The restaurant was full of birds and flies. We went to eat at 13hr and there was barely food on the buffet. With flies all round and birds disturbing our lunch, we lost appetite. We barely had food to eat. When we went to the kiosque at 4:45, the little food kiosque were already closed and we couldn’t access more food. The hotel also had a bad odor mostly everywhere.
Not a proper welcoming of the guests as well.
The average rating of the day use would be 4/10.

Takes up all your day to give you memories of a lifetime. We had a very nice experience of watching so many dolphins together which was not in a zoo and also were given snorkeling time of 30 minutes at a proper place in the sea to have a look at different fishes. Vegetarian food was available and was more than satisfactory (I would advice you to inform in advance).

If you want to see plenty of Mauritus this is the tour to do!
We loved every minute of it, and you get to see so much of the beautiful island in 1 day. Some of the views are simply breath taking.

The cruise is normal and nothing to rave home about. It seems hyped and over priced for the tourist influx.

We booked this tour after reading lots of good reviews on it. It’s a shame we cannot add to the nice comments. I have read lots of comments about the informative tour guides, we had Ravi, he told us next to nothing and most of our day was spent not knowing where we were or what we we’re meant to be looking at. At Trou aux Cerfs all he said was ‘here’s the crater’!!! On looking at some of the photos on here, we weren’t even shown these views even though, according to the tour operator, the navigation recorder showed we went to them. We felt hurried all day and Ravi drove at ridiculous speeds, taking many risks overtaking in dangerous places. We felt sure we would end up in an ambulance! Also, be warned, you are taken to jewellery and gift shops that aren’t on the itinerary. Time that could have been spent enjoying the sights. It’s a great shame because the lunch was very nice and the wine tasting was fun but I can honestly say it was the worst day trip I have been on. Reading other people’s comments I feel our actual guide/ driver was to blame for it. I complained but got nowhere. A lot of money to spend being terrified and confused.

the South west tour takes you to a different attractions in that area mostly nice but for example the black river gorgeous is a waste of time as there is no river and you get to see a forest from very far. The waterfall also the same way but the difference is the place where there is the waterfall is amazing and the air breeze their is cleansing wouldn't miss it. but don't miss the tour it offers a lot of interesting places all I mean is their are some parts that needs to be changed in the tour.
