Without a dedicated airport, these islands take a little more dedication to get to than Tioman or Langkawi. Flying into Terengganu, you need to transfer to the ferry terminal and then transfer by boat. Most people will be staying at resorts and this will be...More

The beach was pretty calm with just the right amount of visitors. The unbelievable clear water washing the shores with white sand is a sight worth all the money and the hassel. The snorkel trips were mesmerizing. A simple walk on the shorline would create...More

The ferry ride from the Shahbandar Jetty to the island takes about 1.5 hours in the A/C equipped, multiple-storied ferry. The island is beautiful with beautiful turquoise waters and a variety of marine life that can be seen during Snorkeling/Scuba. My friends and I who...More

More than what I expected. A little "wild" and offering restricted services, but probably this is what the local municipality wants especially after the airport shut-down, in order to avoid the island be invaded by too too many tourists... I can't forget the crystal-clear water...More

The island is beautiful, yes - but not for long. Huge groups of Chinese tourists with little respect for the environment, other people and the corals. Hotels have organized pick-ups from jetty with mini-trucks that criss-cross the beach all day and ruin both the tourists'...More

The last time we came was the 6th time visiting the island. Almost every year we will come for snorkeling, swimming and relaxing at the beach. Try to come around August because the water will be more relaxing to swim.

End of March is alright but seas still a bit choppy as it is just after the monsoon season. Rains tailing off. The period is July to September.
