One of the very few surviving pre-WWII buildings in Sandakan, this pretty stone church sits as a relic of colonial times. It was designed by BW Mountfort, a New Zealander, and built in 1893.

There is a RM10 entrance fee to the church. Didn't go inside as the church is small and from a look through the windows didn't have much appeal.

Visited the place at night. The church building itself is a magnificent relic from the past where we can enjoy its beauty while pondering its history. Worth a visit.

We visited the Church as part of a guided tour group- unfortunately we picked the only day it was closed (Tuesday) so we looked around and enjoyed the weather. The Church itself looked very good with beautiful stained glass windows, it would be lovely to...More
