About B&J Diving Centre
B&J Diving Centre is a PADI 5 Star IDC Centre that was established in 1987 and is run by a Malay/German/Swiss management team. It has dive centres in two locations on Tioman Island in Malaysia (Salang Bay and Air Batang Bay aka ABC).B&J has launched it's own upper market hotel (Tioman Dive Resort) in January 2012 to serve our clients even better. We take pride in providing the highest quality dive education for our customers as well as enjoyable leisure diving trips for already certified divers. B&J has a 100% safety record since it's existence and we constantly invest in maintaining/upgrading our equipment. Dive equipment is well maintained and regularly replaced, the air is tested for purity, the dive boats are large and comfortable and the dive groups are kept small. It might not be known to many but Tioman Island is home to some of the healthiest coral reefs and a myriad of marine life. B&J has been there from the beginning and has helped maintain these reefs by organizing regular environmental events such as cleanup days, COT (Crown Of Thorns) collections and more. B&J has been awarded several times by PADI for it's "Outstanding Contribution to Divers Education" and also as a “Project AWARE Environmental Achievement Award Winner”. B&J is also a “Go-Eco Operator” and a “Longitude 181 Ambassador”, promoting environmentally safe diving with a strict no glove and no touch policy. As a PADI 5 Star IDC (Instructor Development Center), B&J is amongst the top dive centers in Asia and the very experienced instructors teach all courses from beginner to instructor level. B&J is further a DSAT and IANTD Technical Diving Facility and provides DAN O2 Provider courses. If you like to see some of the most beautiful coral gardens in the South China Sea, a vast variety of tropical reef fish, turtles, sharks, cuttlefish and some of the best spots for nudibranchs in the world, then you shouldn’t miss a visit to Tioman Island. Two Tank dive trips for certified divers are organized daily and you have the choice of additional afternoon boat dives or night dives. If you prefer to take it more relaxed, then you should head for some great muck diving on the house reefs. Nitrox is readily available.Technical divers are drawn to Tioman to either enrol in more training and to visit some of the most spectacular wrecks in the world, HMS Repulse and HMS Prince of Wales. Next to diving we assist you with transfer and accommodation bookings or invite you to join one of our regular cleanup efforts to protect the ocean.

Last week,my wife and I along with our 11 year old son, took the OWD scuba course with Mok at B&J Diving Centre. Thanks to Mok's patience, kindness, and knowledge, we got through the course with confidence. We are now able to work on our equalization, buoyancy, and handling equipment with ease. Our 11 year old said the whole experience was "awesome and incredibly fun!" The staff was also nice to keep an eye on our 7 year old son, enabling the three of us to take our course together. Thank you so much for this amazing experience and new friendships.

Just finished my Advanced Open Water diving license here. A couple of my friends were doing the Open Water Dive License and even though they were struggling with buoyancy at the start, they had a great time too. Everyone from the resort personnel were friendly, helpful, accommodating and professional. The accommodation was lovely and well taken care of. I had the pleasure of meeting almost all of their dive instructors that were there at the time and I must say they are extremely knowledgeable, willing to share their experiences and overall just good people. Love the energy and good vibes. Will definitely be going back when I have the chance.

I had a great time learning and taking my Open Water Dive course (4D3N) at B&J Diving Centre. The crew there are very friendly and helpful. The TDR (accommodation) offered by this diving centre is also very clean, spacious and comfortable. Nevertheless, I would like to take this opportunity to give a special thanks to our instructor, Mr Mok Tai Wah who is really helpful and patient in guiding and teaching us with the necessary skills needed in order for us to finish our OWD course. Overall, I would definitely recommend diving at the B&J Diving Center as they’ve created an awesome experience for us.

Two days diving trips with this team and my first diving in Malaysia. It was a long drive out to the ferry to Tioman Island but the dive centre was well set up and the staff very professional and friendly. A good couple of days diving but not a lot to see at that time of year (changing of tides).

Excellent experience with the company and the personnel, whether it was my instructor or the Dive Masters. I finished my open water course transfer with Laura, my instructor and she was very patient and made sure I did everything once I was comfortable and ready. She took me on 4 dives and all the dives, I got to see sea creatures I've never seen before during my previous dive experiences. After I completed my open water course, I managed to do 2 fun dives with the group I arrived with on my last day. I got Boboi as my dive master on the final 2 dives, and he was patient despite me wandering off the first dive a little, i learnt to slow down and stick by his side as I knew my buoyancy could be unstable but even though it was stable that day, he allowed me to be comfortable underwater without fear. The company has great personnel that was very welcoming and lovely to everyone, whether they were assigned or not. Accommodations were great and lovely to stay in.
