A well laid out path leads you from the entrance to the waterfall. There is an area right at the end where you can go and bathe.
Great walk to do with children. Getting there and back in tbe car wasn't as pleasant o a narrow 2 way road.

1. It's nearly 10km from the town centre. 10 km in Fraser's Hill means a long and winding road
2. It's a long walk even to the nearest place to swim. Not suitable for elders. You might have to carry if you have small children.
3. Come prepared if you want to have a picnic: food etc. There is a place where they sell drinks and junk food.

Whether to balme it on irresponsible holiday makers or lees than prudent local authorities, Jeriau waterfall has in recent year, become a magnet for rubbish & leftover picnics. Not to mention the stream of yellow muddy water ploughing through the waterfall during the monsoon season. Leaving all that aside, the waterfall still has its appeal & great for families seeking a quiet & refreshing outing.
To vacationers and holiday makers, STOP POLUTING the waterfall with your garbage & picnic leftovers. Why would you crap where you eat?

Visited on the 19 of march. Despite it being a thursday, there were many people wanting to visit the fall. They and I were both left disappointed for there were two sites where the route was blocked, probably caused by the landslide. The first one is passable even for teenagers but unadvisable for elderly and children. After passing it you will see another blockage, which i saw nobody attempt to pass (which i did not pass as well due to wearing the wrong footwear) although you could give it a try and have the fall to yourself.
I advice to avoid it at least until June. When i arrived there was no sign to show that the fal was blocked. I even heard that the falls have been blocked since january and no work has been done. Hope some work goes into maintaining this waterfall.

This was my third trip to see Jeriau Falls over the past 20 years … it will be my last! Upon arrival in the parking lot, you're met by garbage that hasn't been picked up in months. The trail down to the falls is well worn and littered with garbage (mainly bundled used plastic baby diapers) or periodic piles of garbage that someone had tried to be burn. Partway down the trail, we were met by a half dozen SUVs and people camping along the side of the once serene trail. The actual area around the falls has an open garbage pit, several disgusting 'hole in the floor' bathrooms and even more garbage. The appears to be no regard for the nature beauty that Jeriau Falls once had. Recommend you avoid the hot hike or you will be greatly disappointed. Rick C. West - Sooke, BC, Canada

I've lived in Fraser's Hill since 1981 and I've witnessed this hill station from being a quaint and tranquil retreat popular among nature enthusiasts from every corner of the globe deteriorate to it's present state. Poor environmental management and awareness has turned this natural attraction from once an exciting camping site to a sorry state of ruin. The mass influx of visitors during peak seasons to this relatively small resort has exhausted it's once natural beauty.

The trail there can be exhausting for old folks or kids so, travel light. Best to eat up first before embarking on this nature trek with cement trails & steps all the way to a single waterfall with a nature pool. A picnic there is perfect but, pack-up light meals like sandwiches, breads @ burgers. The water was tempting but, can be too cold for some as this is located among the cool rainforest on highland. Beware of hypothermia so, bring along yr most warm jacket, shawls & blankets if you dare enough to swim in the cold pool that is very shallow & safe for kids.

We really enjoyed the falls, but were horrified to see hundreds of litter bags discarded behind the falls - plastic everywhere - don’t understand why employees couldn’t take these away - never been more taken aback in my lifetime (have travelled to more than 100 countries)... these were the refuse bags provided at the park for visitors to throw their rubbish into - (!)

Jeriau waterfall is located down a windy steep road beyond Ye olde Smokehouse. Access to the falls is a 15/20 minute walk along a well maintained path that follows a stream down to the falls.
It is an easy walk although the last 5 minutes require a number of steps down to the falls themselves. A pool has been created below the falls for swimming. We visited mid week and were the only visitors and enjoyed the tranquility and bird/butterflies. I’m sure it would be less enjoyable when busy.
A slight detraction was the overflowing rubbish bins and very tired / deteriorating information signs along the path.
