We hiked this trail on a morning in late December when the fog had rolled in. The scenery was amazing in the mist. The weather made bird watching a little more difficult but we still got to see some species. The birds were not super active when we went but that's just the luck of the draw. We also heard tree frogs calling and saw two foot-long millipedes, which were amazing!
Some parts of the trail before Muar Cottage aren't fully clear. We (mid-20s able-bodied couple) had to crawl through a tunnel of vegetation at one point. We were fine with it, just keep in mind if you have anyone in your group who might struggle with that sort of activity.
We started on Hemmant Trail and hiked through to the end of Bishop Trail, which is easy to do if you bring a map. Would recommend this trail.

Great hike through the woods. There was quite a bit of steep inclines and descends, but most of it had make shift stairs built into them. However, when we made the track, it had rained the day before and some of the foliage had fallen onto the path and made it a bit more challenging. Not suitable if you have kids or have the elderly with you. For that, I recommend Hemmant Trail.

While some parts of the Fraser's Hill forest trails (like Bishop Trail) are passable, they have the ground terribly rooted up by an ever increasing populations of wild pigs. If you are birders, I recommend this and the other hiking trails found on Fraser's Hill, however, if you like looking at the understory flora and ground-dwelling creatures, I recommend you avoid these trails. From the road, Biships trail goes down a semi-steep slope to several streams - and then after a bit, climbs back to the road. There are hand ropes along most of the trail to assist in walking up and down without tripping on something. Most important for me (age 76) is that there were several rest stations along the way - which I took full advantage of.

Bishop trail one of my favourites. Usually get to see the red headed trogon there. Altho rather difficult to see the elusive mountain scops owl in d early morning before dawn. Occasionally you get to see the Malaysian Partridge crossing the path altho rather skittish.
Generally on trails you dont see nany birds unless if you are looking for a speciality. Along the road at bishop trail as well as telecoms loop is one of the best sites for bird watching...gems like long tail Broadbill, large niltava, wren bablers are present. Generally great for montane birding.

Fairly easy trail if dry weather. A few slippery parts to handle with caution. Do not get of the marked path if you do not want a leech cure. Birds singing but very few to be seen. Nice lush vegetation all the way. Pleasant slow one hour walk in the shade of the tropical forest.

Went hiking here as it was just 150m from where we stayed, Silver Park Resort. The trail is 1.5km, moderate in difficulty, with some parts going uphill and some parts going downhill. Can look out for birds, monkeys, squirrels, insects. Nice to look at the trees, shrubs, ferns, wild bananas, bamboos, mushrooms, flowers. As there are a lot of leeches, do wear long sleeve tops and track bottoms. Also remembered to wear like long socks and shoes. One can stop to rest at the half way house. We had a nice time trekking through the forest and it was cooling.

You need to watch your footing on a couple stretches but otherwise it is an easy trail through beautiful, but seemingly slightly more wet forest. Good photo opportunities. Birding was okay, but slightly disappointing on my visit. Easy to combine with the Hemnant Trail.

We were a group of 4 adults in our 20's, reasonably fit, and this trail was suitable in terms of difficulty, as opposed to Hemmant Trail which was WAY too easy for us. Towards the end of Bishop trail we were chased by scores of leeches, at least 20 of them crawling out of the ground and swarming towards us. We immediately turned right at that point and exited the trail, instead of continuing on to Maxwell Trail...that bit was rather exciting! Fair warning, even if you wear covered shoes and socks, they might still get in, so do prepare salt for when you get out and need to kill some leeches. The trail is well-maintained, there is no risk of getting lost whatsoever.

Loved this path and the sights and sounds. Again I couldn't identify anything being under the canopy and constantly looking up. I could hear the monkeys. Well sign posted. Carries a leech warning in the rainy season.
