About
PD Ostrich Show Farm is the only ostrich show farm in Port Dickson. We have ostriches which visitors can hug, feed and take selfies with! Despite its name, it has other farm and pet animals. The farm boasts many fruit trees: durian, rambutan, ciku, starfruit & others. Also in the farm are Herbal Oasis, Ant Planet, and Dinosaur Safari @ EmbunBunga, which has dinosaur & animal sculptures, a Carnivorous Plant Garden, an Orchid Conservatory, a Cactus Garden & a nursery. EmbunBunga is scheduled to be fully open by mid October. It is popular with visitors to PD as well as for experiential educational trips by schools, team building, family day, camping and even weddings and drama & movie shoots! Activities not included in the admission fees include ostrich rides (kids below 40kg only), horse & horse carriage rides, ATV rides, and archery. We have a cafe serving a wide variety of food, including ostrich satay, burger and steak as well as other cafe fare such as noodles & rice. Come visit!

Ticketing needed, but recommend only take the ostrich farm side, the dinosaur side is no no, Theme park can do better than them. Without Dinosaur cost RM20 for adult RM 15 for kids. It was fun as the animals is tame and cute. You can buy glass and corns to feed them, Ostrich is just eating in front of you from you hand ! In side got Rabbit, goats and lamb, birds, donkey, chicken and dog.
Not very long time you can stay inside but kids will like it as animals are all around and can be feed and touch.

This is a "showcase farm", please do not expect any ostrich shows. I got misled by the name "Ostrich Show Farm".
The farm is small, you practically finish the circuit within 15 minutes. One thing i like about it, is that some (tamer) ostriches roam freely in the park, you may pat it and even "wefie" with it!
Other animals on showcase: cows, chickens, guinea pigs, snakes, birds, donkey etc. Chargeable train ride and pony ride available.
In my opinion, entrance fees RM20/adult and RM15/child are simply overcharge! It cost us RM 70 for a family of 4. Anyway, it is okay to visit here for once.

+ You can park for free, but spots are limited.
+ Adult admission is RM25, while children under 12 are RM20. Animal feed is available for purchase at RM9.
+ There are tons of fun family activities here like feeding animals, playing with guinea pigs and rabbits, riding a pony at Cowboy Place, cat's home, and checking out the dinosaur village.
+ It's not just for fun. this place educates us about animal life habitats. The staff will help you out with explanations.
+ Everyone here is super friendly and helpful.
+ If you wanna try Sate Ostrich, you can also order it at their Café.
+ The restroom is accessible.

Additionally, there are ATV and archery activities, but I am unsure of their availability. It seems they may not be well maintained. The same goes for their herbal oasis.

All in all, it's a fantastic spot for family fun when you're in Port Dickson. Don't forget to bring an umbrella since we'll be walking around in this open area.

We visited this place on Friday noon. Luckily not many visitors were there. Well they shouldn't named the place as Ostrich Show Farm. Firstly, not only Ostriches were there but other animals as well including the dinosaurs. Secondly, there is no show or whatsoever when I was there.

The entrance fee is RM20 for adult and RM15 for kids and senior citizens. Add another RM10 for the sad dinosaur park which I'd advise you to give it a miss. RM20 is an okay price as we understand it's not easy for the owner to provide the foods for the animals as well as to maintain the place.

Overall, it's a not a bad place... you still can have fun there riding a horse, mini tramp or try their Ostrich sate or omelets.

I'm an animal activist In Hong Kong. I work with animals, I volunteer at animal shelters & I have many pets.
Extremely passionate about education people about proper animal welfare and care.
This place is just a slow death for evey animal in there. They are all underfed, mis treated and I would say 99% of the Animals there are injured and unhealthy.
I made a report to the SPCA In KL and told them how sad this place is. I left crying and shaking to see these innocent animals in such poor condition.
I wish the owners of this tourture farm
Nothing but karma.

This place wouldn't be open in most countries due to safety and health concerns. The staff was very friendly throughout the farm hence the two stars plus I had several good laughs at rogue ostriches pecking at the heads of several visitors. But honestly, this farm was just plain dirty, stinky and only because there seems like there is nothing else to do in this town, this farm manages to survive.

You will see ostriches as promised, but a large amount of them have pulled half of there feathers out in anguish. There is a goat who follows you around to see if he can steel your food. Horses, bunnies, 2 snakes, guinea pigs some geese and ducks and 1 camel way out in back. Oh and the dog venue advertised is just two massive dogs howling in their own cages far off the main path. You could finish the farm easily in an hour. If your sensitive to the smell of urine or feces you can make it out in 1/2 that time. You will feel like burning your shoes afterwards and taking 4-5 baths as soon as you return to your hotel. Oh yes, we got stuck there after we exited as no cab would go up there to pick up people?? The farm staff didn't go out of their way to help either, just gave us the look and the shrug. Way to hot to walk down to the main road to look for a taxi so if you ever find yourself in that situation, exit and walk to the left. Attached to the farm is an outside/ hawker restaurant where the kind hearted heavyset owner agreed to drive us back to our hotel for a few dollars.

Thank you, Kert, for your visit to our farm and for your review. Foremost, we would like to apologise that our ticketing staff did not give you the telephone number of taxis which bring visitors to our parks and we return the favour by giving out their numbers. We will put up the telephone number of taxis at the ticketing office today so that this will not happen again. One of the highlights of visits to our farm and other parks is the free roaming animals. As a petting farm, we allow many tame animals to roam about freely to interact with visitors. We have staff helping out where the animals are larger. Of the 20 ostriches we have, two of them -- Patah & Puteri -- are allowed to roam freely. People can hug them, take pictures with them, feed them or even get a free 'massage'. Patah will come to you and if you stand near enough, he will use his beak to press on you. Even his 'pecking' is friendly as ostriches are wont to test everything to see if it is edible. Safety is a primary concern so we wouldn't allow Patah or Puteri out if they exhibit any aggressiveness. Similarly, the goats and other animals which are allowed out will follow visitors for food, as all animals would do. We have two types of snakes but we have about a dozen of them but to ensure that they are not too stressed out by visitors, we only display 2 at any one time and rotate them. The others, we keep out of sight, for the health of the reptiles. Cleanliness and smell is a perpetual challenge and task. We limit the cemented areas as this would be unnatural for the animals, which prefer grass or earth beneath their feet. It would be easier (and long term, cheaper) for us to just cement all enclosures for animals for cleaning and sanitising work but this would be harmful in the long term for the animals so it is a conscious decision to leave things as natural as possible. We try to balance the comfort of our visitors with the natural needs of our farm animals, and in many instances, we put the animals' welfare before the needs of visitors, even though this costs us money and misunderstanding. We also receive complaints from animal rights groups that we are not doing enough for the animals. It is a difficult balancing act, so we do the best we can and hope for some understanding. Earth is also the best way to filter out smell from the urine of animals. We choose not to use cheap but harsh chemicals to clean the premises where our animals roam. Like other birds, ostriches molt regularly. We do not sell ostrich feathers so we have no reason to pull out the feathers. In a farm environment, the feathers do take a longer time to regrow due to more frequent mating. Further, as we do not slaughter our birds, some of them are older so it is natural to have less regrowth as age catches up. The Dog Park is a separate attraction within the ostrich farm, as we are conscious of religious, cultural and personal beliefs. There is a separate charge to visit the dog park so it is a choice by our visitors. We have 30+ pure breed dogs and one mongrel. The two biggest ones -- a S. African mastiff and a rottweiler -- are in front as they are impressive. The other dogs are in different enclosures. We do not cage the dogs but give them enough room to roam about in their enclosures, which visitors can enter to pet or play with the dogs. All the dogs are rescued animals. In a way, this park is a retirement home for them, and they yearn for the human contact, thus the loud, excited and joyful barking whenever visitors enter. On average, our visitors spend upwards of three hours in our farm and in one case, a family which visits at least twice a year, a full 8 hours as they love to interact with the animals. But some spend less than an hour because they do not like the smell or other discomforts in an open farm. Thank you.

Friendly host and helpful attendants. Nice place to bring the children to visit something unusual than a shopping mall. Ride the ostrich or pony. Feed the animals too.

We payed a visit expecting a well kept miniature zoo. Afterall, considering the entrance fee they charge, some of it must go back into the maintenance & proper care for the animals. However, to our dismay, most of the animals were malnourished, ill treated, ridden with skin illness & some with untreated open wounds. The care takers have clearly been neglecting their duties.

This is what happens when ambitious yet clueless entrepeneurs ventures into a business where they have absolutely no experience in & with total disregard for proper animal care. At the end, the business owner rakes in the profit at the expense of the poorly treated animals. Why is it still in operation?? What are the local town council or local authority doing about it?!

Inspite of Tripadvisor's review, we thought of going mainly for the kids and was horrified by the way the animals are kept. They surely need better care. The kids loved petting the rabbits which were for sale. Pitied the animals being an animal lover. The owner was friendly though.

Paid Rm15 per person to enter this farm and was truly disappointed by the condition, not well kept and only a few old ostriches (all looked tired and not well fed). A very small farm, other than a few ostriches, there are also some goats, ducks and a very hungry looking pony. You can tour the entire farm in less than 30 mins. Not recommended.

Thank you, Mark, for your visit and definitely your feedback. We are a show farm, thus we have a variety of farm and pet animals. The few ostriches total 25. At the time of your visit, the ostriches ranged in age from 4 months to 20+ years. We add on a few ostrich chicks each year. As the ostriches are not reared for meat, we have older birds that, like other animals & humans, would start to look their age. The hot and humid weather is also not conducive to the birds, which prefer hot and dry conditions. Further, as we do NOT slaughter our birds, the ratio of males to females is also not ideal; that is, there are far too many males which lead to stress on the female ostriches and fights among the males. The farm is spread over 5 acres and besides the animals you mentioned, we have 5 ponies (not 1), ducks and more than 30 geese, a variety of birds, snakes, other smaller pets, donkeys,sheep... How long visitors spend at the farm depends very much on their interaction with the animals. Our average is just under two hours, although one family did spend 8 hours at the farm.
