- JiaYin@SEU338ESeremban, Malaysia82 contributionsFree admission Aquarium that worth a visit! Not a huge kind of aquarium but it was suitable for family with kids to pay a visit since its free admission. Variety of fishes displaying there. Was a little bit sad that the turtle part of the aquarium is close for maintenance that time. SOP is obeyed by the center by controlling number of visitors in it, however it still abit crowded on Sunday.Visited July 2020Written March 24, 2021
- HisyamBananaKuantan, Malaysia30 contributionsGreat place. It's free entrance!Great place to bring your kids to learn about fish and corals. Free entrance. Parking rm3. They should sell fridge magnet or keychain based on their place. Totally gonna sold.Visited February 2020Traveled with familyWritten February 1, 2020
- Ahmad Ashraf Abu Bakar3 contributionsQuick trip to the aquariumI brought my family to this aquarium on 8th February 2020 before check-in hotel. Admission is free. However, need to pay RM3 for the parking. Overall, it was a decent aquarium since its free. You can finish the tour less than 15min. The Star attraction will be the turtles but they are put in a "not so" large open containers. Sadly, no more touch pool due to marine life`s sensitivity (it kept dying from human touch). Toddlers and preschools would love this place. My 4-year-old kept insisting me to visit again after checking out from the hotel.Visited February 2020Written February 9, 2020
- zeti marlyda mansorSri Kembangan, Malaysia20 contributionsGreat AquariumI really surprise to go here. Really good place to visit and get information about the fishes. My kids really enjoyed their short tour here. Free admission. Only pay for the parking.Visited March 2020Written March 11, 2020
- Sook Hoon SSelangor, Malaysia165 contributionsThey should collect entrance fee!It is quite near Wan Loong Temple. The place is with airconditioned. There are many turtles there that are healing and waiting to be released. It is actually a research center by UPM to heal and save the sea animals. Beautiful to look at. We bought souvenirs to help them to keep the place and also to thank them of their efforts. Kids love it!Visited March 2018Traveled with familyWritten April 1, 2018
- schalcs106 contributionsVery interestingThis is a Government research centre so dont expect a large souvenier shop with T shirts etc but if you are interested in Marine Life it is well worth a visit. Its free with easy parking but difficult to find without GPS. The fish are very interesting especially the sea horses and some species I have never seen before well worth an hour of your time.Visited October 2018Traveled as a coupleWritten October 5, 2018
- asbo75Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia23 contributionsDo Not Miss this, it’s Free anyway...I have been to a few large Aquariums before, and paying so much for an entry. Since I have read about the free admission of this aquarium, I have set my expectations very low. And indeed I was very surprised for what this aquarium has to offer. Granted that this place does not have those gigantic aquarium with tunnel under it. Nor does it have any fish larger than a body builder arm. It doesn’t even have those touch pools with many marine life. In fact it has only a single starfish for visitors to touch. But all of that doesn’t matter when you see young children really looking at the many small aquariums intimately, excited with those innocent awe looks on their faces. In fact many adults (including yours truly), also have the same looks on their face. The main reason of this is because you can see it very close to your face, you can even count the fish scales (those fishes with scales obviously). You can even observe small turtle swimming next to you. And one interesting part of this aquarium is that they allow you to peek into the breeding area. This is interesting as many commercially based aquariums doesn’t seem to allow visitors to observe their breeding area. If you are lucky, you can watch seahorses chasing each other like young lovers do in the breeding area. The place is run by a government agency jointly with a public university, if I’m not mistaken. I was really hoping that the place would consider a proper Souvenirs Shop to at least get some income being generated to compliment the grant they are getting; ultimately have some money to upgrade the place. Despite it being small, it is one of those place where children and adults would enjoy it. As the saying goes, the best things in life are often free, if you can appreciate it... Open everyday, even on public holidays.Visited February 2018Traveled with familyWritten February 15, 2018
- Graham BPort Dickson, Malaysia1,312 contributionsOne of the nicest Aquariums I have seen and it is free!!A hidden gem actually in Telok Kemang Port Dickson, about 6 kilometers south from the main Port Dickson Town. The Aquarium is just off the main coast road and near the beech. This is a government run Aquarium, so entrance is free, specialising in marine fish but also the rare Marine Turtles, native to just off the coast of Malaysia. Endangered species. There is a large main building with many assorted tanks beautifully displays of marine fish, sea urchins, zebra eels, stone fish and many more. However do be sure to see the large tanks for breeding turtles outside where you will see the different types of Turtles at various stages of growth. The signage is mostly in Bahasa Malay, but there is some English too and there are information screens which you can see in English. We were there for about one hour. The premises are open between 9am and 3.30pm every day. I took lots of photos which I hope give you an introduction and hope you like my review. Well worth a visit. We enjoyed it a lot. Thank you for reading.Visited June 2017Traveled as a coupleWritten June 17, 2017
