I would not rate it as number 1 attraction in Lebanon, but I'd say it is worth to go there if you have the time! 2h from Beirut by public transportation. And you will enjoy majestic views, maybe even some snow on the peaks!

The Holy Valley is home to numerous UNESCO-awarded isolated rock-cut monasteries – some of them well-preserved, others abandoned. I consider those cave churches a must-see attraction when traveling to Qadisha Valley. Ten of them can be visited either by car or on foot. Apart from...More

Trekked 19km and visited four monasteries, including an ancient abandoned one. Lingering autumn colours were beautiful. I thought hard about doing it independently but settled on a guide from Liban Treks. Jorge took us to some spots only known to locals (thousand-year old roman bridge,...More

I went on an organised hike, which would be recommendable because not everywhere are sign postings and I would have gotten lost without the guides easily probably! There are multiple treks of different levels, from very easy going (a stroll), to real hikes. There are...More

Excellent hiking for all levels. Some serious ascents for the more adventurous but some simple routes for those keen for just a stroll. If you come to Lebanon for a week and are a hiker, you simply can’t miss this epic, beautiful, mysterious valley.

A perfect getaway if you’re looking for some peace and quite. Moreover, if you’re a Maronite or, in any part, interested in this sect, you have to visit this place as it carries lots of history!
