Brilliant few days on safari. Seen lots of animals. Very tiring though as the very early wake up calls take there toll, but the early bird sees the most

Do not hesitate to spend a couple of days in Tsavo East National Park, which is easily accessible from Mombasa (a couple of hours drive).

Tsavo is the largest National park in kenya with tsavo east and tsavo west bordered by the railway line and the Mombasa to Nairobi road. For those staying close to Mombasa or Malindi, it's easily accessed by road. For those interested to visit both tsavo east and west, a minimum of 2 nights will be enough and will really to... More

Tsavo is the largest national park in Kenya and thus divided into East and West. The park is divided by the Nairobi-Mombasa road and the entrance to the park is just next to the highway. About 3 hours drive from Mombasa. The travel to the park from Mombasa is not very encouraging as it passes through the port area and... More

Interesting, but due to the drought most of the animals are not visible. Interesting bird life in some areas.

Tsavo-East is a really large park, to spot the animals you need to be in the right location, we benefitted from being at the Aruba lodge for seeing a few lion families.

We had an amazing time at Tsavo East National Park and were lucky enough to see lots of animals on our first game drive there in the afternoon. We saw zebra, antelope, gazelle, warthogs, giraffes, a lion and loads of elephants really close to the road which was magical. Tsavo is exactly as I imagined a National Park in Kenya... More

Beautiful to see some animals. Although we went in the time where not many animals can be seen. Best time to go is the migration season. We saw like a few lions, lots of elephants though. Good experience!

As opposed to Amboseli, where we were the day before, you (and your driver) had to do a bit more "hunting" to find the game. The red elephants of Tsavo is impressive, and we saw a big variety of birds at our lodge and in the national park.
