You may choose to pet the animals, hand-feed them, ride a llama in the farm or a horseback ride to the amazing views of the Ramon crater or take part in one of the other fun activities offered at the farm. you will be able to visit in our boutique alpaca wool factory and to see the process from the wool to the sweater or yarn. 30 shekel per adult for entrance which included a packet of feed. They have a few animal roaming around which make it even more interactive. They have a lot of animals on the farm (Alpaca, donkey, goat, rooster, horse, camel etc )Super friendly staff.

we stayed at the Alpaca Farm in December, 2019 in one of the cabins. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and very accommodating to all our requests. The breakfast was amazing (and a lot of food!) and our kids (ages 14, 12, and 9) loved walking around and interacting with the animals. Would highly recommend as a place to visit and stay!

We stopped here on our road trip from Eilat to Jerusalem. All the adults and teens loved the farm. The teens enjoyed feeding the alpacas more than swimming with dolphins in Eilat. We spent about an hour. It was a perfect stop. Alpacas are way more interesting and hysterical than we knew. They all seem to have unique personalities. We also had some great shwarma and gelato at the strip mall down the road.

This was a total waste of time. Stay away. Two families, a total of seven people, set off from the center of the country and drove for over two hours till we reached Mitzpe Ramon. The kids were excited as they had been shown videos of the llamas and alpacas the day before.
After driving through town, less than 5 kilometers from the farm, we hit a roadblock with a sign saying that due to construction, we should drive back through town and then another 12 kilometers back the way we had come, to the turn off to an army base. We followed that tiny road for a while until we came to a dirt road which was clearly marked for 4-wheel drive vehicles only. We had no idea how far away the farm was, as they didn't bother answering their phone. Ten minutes later we gave up.
There was no sign at the entrance to the base that the farm was in that direction, and no sign at the entrance to town where the (closed) road to the farm is clearly marked. There was no warning on the sign in town that the bypass to the farm was absolutely not for regular cars.
We had gotten the kids excited about the trip, spent over five hours driving for absolutely nothing, and when we finally got one of the workers on the phone she said that maybe this should be a learning experience for them.
What was unforgivable was that I called them a few days ago to make sure that they were open for business, and was told that they were, and that they were looking forward to seeing us.
They did not mention the geese, namely the wild goose chase that they led us on for five hours.
We wasted a day. The woman we spoke to offered zero compensation. Not even free entry in the future, which would have cost them nothing.

Not the best experience. Kids had fun roaming around with the lamas and alpacas but the huts are very basic with stuff they must have found in a dump. All very low level and basic. The showers are like being peed on by a lama….no breakfast and overall a very expensive stay. At NIS 1,300 per night (2 night minimum) this is wayyyyy overpriced and left us feeling like ‘lama’??

Went with my kids today. Got there early and appeared to be the only visitors. Paid the cover charge and wandered around for 30 minutes with kids, looking at alpacas and other animals without seeing a single employee anywhere. Took a popsicle and had to leave 4 shekels on the counter because no one was staffing the cafe. Was told there was a tour which never ended up happening. Lovely girl got an alpaca ready for my daughter to ride (which she ultimately refused) but beyond that it was just a very odd and underwhelming experience.
It was probably a mixture of the heat and being asked to pay an addition five shekels for a bag of feed that caused us to leave slightly poorer and very disappointed after just 45 minutes.
I wouldn't bother with this place.

My sister and I came to stay at the Alpaca Farm to ride into the crater and explore the area on horseback. We stayed three nights and did two and half days riding. The experience was absolutely unforgettable. Maktesh Ramon is a stunning place to explore on horseback. Our guides were amazing and looked after us really well. The horses were incredible endurance horses and an absolute pleasure to ride. The cabin we stayed in was extremely comfortable and very warm and cosy - it needed to be! The nights were chilly :). It was so much fun to wake up to Llamas and Alpacas outside our door - and the young ones were gorgeous! Thank you to the entire team for making us feel so welcome! Definitely want to come again!

We spent a great hour in the farm where many alpacas, llamas, donkeys, horses, dogs and goats were living. Many animals are not behind a fence just ride freely so you can feed them, pet them and make awesome pictures! Llamas and alpacas are really dumb and funny creatures :) I highly recommended to visit this place, the view is beautiful and the experience is cool, worth the approx. 30 shakels per person. The staff was very friendly. The farm is very close to the Maktesh Ramon visitor center by car (approx. 10 minutes).

I cannot say enough good things about this place. So many fun animals like goats, alpacas, llamas, donkeys, and a camel, a whole pack of dogs to play with, horses to ride and pet, the owner Ilan is super nice and his kids and the other employees are great, and it’s a great location with cool parks and wineries nearby. I stayed in a cabin that was clean, comfortable, had good a/c and had a nice patio.
