It mostly contains objects discovered from excavations in Iranian Azerbaijan, also some artworks and sculptures of artists. Apart from National Museum of Iran in Tehran, Azerbaijan Museum has the largest collection belonging to different periods of Iran's history.
You will have lots of useful information about Iran history.

It was a good place to see old things and equipment that people used even more than 5000 years ago. You will see the unique style of painting on vases and stamps that show symmetrical and geometrical shapes and different shapes of animals. Also there is a section full of metallic sculptures of a great artist. Highly recommended to visit.

Name of museum is Azarbaijan but it also provides information about ancient history of Iran. Great sculptures and huse carvings on stones are eye catching in addition to coin collection of different ages of which Pahlavi was missed!
Kabood mosque is very close to this museum and visitors can visit both in a schedule.

The Azerbaijan Museum in Tabriz, situated next to the famous Blue Mosque, may be the nicest museum in Tabriz. It consists of three parts. When you enter, you will find the archaeological department, which tells the story of Azerbaijan from the fifth century until the Sassanian Age.n the first floor are displays of coins, from the Achaemenid period to the nineteenth century, and seals (from prehistory to the Sassanian age). In the basement is a small restaurant, but here you will also find several tall bronze statues by Ahad Hosseini, an artist born in Tabriz.

hopefully Azerbaijan museum is close to other several attractions like as Kabud Mosque , municipality building ,... which most visitors are interested to see. except downstairs hall which has been allocated for sculptures others are almost association of Iran National Museum in a small size . there are items belongs to more than 5000 years ago in ground floor , upstairs are almost allocated to potteries and coins and downstairs has been allocated for statues which has been made by Mr. Hoseini ( sculptor from Tabriz ) . for history lovers Azerbaijan museum is a magnification collection . there are also many gravestone from different historical periods in the yard next to the museum .
