Nice museum but under renovation
Oct 2019
Actually it gives a good idea about Azeri Turkish poetry. Interior is beautiful. However the exterior is closed due to renovations. It was a pity not to be able to photograph the exterior as we expected.

The tomb of the poets
May 2019
Maqbarat ol Shoara (The tomb of the poets) is one of the historic cemeteries in Tabriz, located in the Sorkhab neighborhood.
More than 400 poets, mystics of Iran and the countries of the region have been buried here since 800 years ago from Hakim Asadi Tousi to Master Shahriar, one after the other.

At the time of the visit, due to the restoration of the building, it was not possible to visit and I could only take a photo of it.

Amazing structure, yet weird feeling.
Sep 2018
As a 5 year old child, I visited this place for the first time, you could go upstairs and what you could see from the smokey windows was just dust and soil and nothing else could be seen, they told me bodies of the poets are buried down there which made it so mysterious for me, I always felt the energy and I wanted to see spot where I could go inside. a few years later downstairs was constructed and everything was revealed in a beautiful, bright, (not mysterious any more! :D) way.

Building is still under construction, but still has a very nice exterior. Inside is the tomb of the great poet Sharyar which made it worth the visit to me.

Underwhelming
Apr 2019 • Couples
This is rather underwhelming as it is surrounded by a fence while renovations are undertaken. The structure is in modernist style and massive. It seems to reflect the age in which it was erected rather than reflect the character of those it represents.

I visited this historic monument in 2018. The famous Azeri poet is buried here along with a number of other Azeri writers and poets.
