Large temple but not so much thing to see

The yard is very spacious, but the temple itself is not so large. There is a big Buddha statue inside. Not so many things to see.

Good view and clean place with explanation in Chinese and English about the life of Sakyamuni Buddha. But not all the explanation made in English/Indonesian. It is good to have English/Indonesian Text in each statue and entrance board to make tourists and local people understand more about the area.

This temple is pretty and the surrounding area is spacious and good looking with excellent detail going into the sculptures. The Buddha in the main sanctum is very good looking. It's a nice temple and if you don't have much to do while in Bintan, it's worth a look-see.

Pros: 1. Need to witness the tallest record of Buddha statue in meditation pose at Southeast Asia with the luxurious 24 carats gold as the outskin 2. Clean and peaceful place Cons: 1. Nothing much to see beside than the buddhas

The atmosphere there was so peaceful. I got mesmerized with the gigantic statue. I think it was worth visit. Now I know a little bit about buddist culture. The garden was also beautiful. From above, it was amazing.

When I came here, there was nobody but me and my friends. The atmosphere was very solemn and I deeply enjoyed the entire experience The Statue that welcome us was the Maitreya. I have my picture here holding his thumb The great Kuan Yin Statue was huge and totally impressive If you come to Tanjung Pinang, you must visit this... More

For those that appreciated bhuddist architecture, statues etc I would definitely recommend. It is not an amazing tourist destination for those not appreciative of the culture. The gardens behind the temple and the surrounds offer the best things to see. Many statues and nice peaceful ponds etc,

This is quite a large Buddhist temple located closer to Tanjung Pinang in Bintan. Temple had a lot of Buddhist statues and other monuments with detailed architecture. the Pillars at the entrance are carved with great details based on Chinese architecture and the locals informed us that most of the building materials etc were imported directly from China to build...
