We visited Parbaba Beach at the front of JTS hotel and enjoyed a quick drink and chat with the receptionist who had plenty time as there was only one room occupied. The beach is sandy and there is no entrance fee. We sat at the coffee shop on the beach and rested from the heat of the day. Staff very friendly and drinks were a little more expensive than usual, but not expensive if you are a Westerner. There was not a single person on the beach, and it was too hot for us to take a swim.

On Monday 12th August, my family and I visited one of the tourist destinations on Samosir Island called White Sands Parbaba precisely in Pangururan.

In this place there are plenty of entertaining rides, such as Rapid boats, Banana boats and more. One of the most visited rides is the Banana Boat, and maybe this is one of the attractions of this beach. My family and I also use banana boats.

After playing in the water, we tasted some culinary, one of them gomak noodles. This food is quite cheap, with the price of Rp. 5.000.000 one serving, it tastes very delicious.

Then I also bought some souvenirs sold on the white sand of Parbaba. The souvenirs are really interesting and beautiful.

But the less thing on this tour is there is a lot of garbage and mosses around the beach, then the toilet on the white sand Parbaba still dirty and the infrastructure has not been noticed by the Tourism Office Samosir. It is less supportive of nature favor Pababa white sand

Although parking fee and ticket for beach are paid tricksters (a bunch of youngsters together with a half-blind man around 60 who calls himself a guide) manipulate your motorbicycle when you are on the beach and then "repair" it when you are back. They won't let you leave without a high fee. Disappointing because it damages trust in a country where most people are friendly, kind and hospitable.

ATTENTION there are criminals: we were swimming for less than one hour, in that time they were manipulating our motorcycle and played the helpers when we came back and could not start it. For the help they requested 100.000 Rupia! One of them introduced himself as the local guide!

Uncontrolled developments have made the beach very dirty while the various sea sport operators seem only interested in enlarging their respective business spaces

Not so clean and noisy . It was a Sunday . You don't really come to Lake Toba for the beaches but if they cleaned it up - it would be way better

We rented a motorbike and went to Long Beach. Was disappointed. Beach was dirty, full of rubbish, and you can't really swim there. We ended having some beers by the beach and enjoy the dramatic view which was quite nice.

During my visit, this beach was quite crowded. According me, nothing special with this beach, except some spots facing the lake available for taking picture. Along this beach there are so many small F&B stores, and people enjoy it.

Nice long beach but not so clean. The problem is also the shallow water that can be nice for kids but prevent you from swimming. As a european family we also felt not so comfortable being watched by local people.
