Came here for the third time bringing different grp of friends.. i do like the place and the cool weather. If you have time.. please have a visit and enjoy the speed boat ride around the lake. An hour is enough to spend on this place without boat tour.

Total scam by older locals!
There is no ticket selling point.
There is no written rules. Completely nothing. This older locals will chase and yell at you like there is no tomorrow, telling that you showing disrespect to their religion. Its all because you do not want to rent sarong from them and looking for the official place to rent inside the temple.

Go to Kintamani and enjoy the view from coffee shops instead!

It is a long drive from Seminyak. On the way to this there are nice view from top of the mountain. This lake is truly heaven on earth, the panoramic view, the lake, the temple, the tourist attractions are perfect, being incredibly inspiration and unforgettably memories. I would effeminately recommend a visit to this.

This is not the water temple you are looking for. This one is commonly mistaken for the other with a similar name in Bratan.

The local community seems fine with the tactics of promoting this incorrectly. The ticket taker was extremely rude and the locals are mostly touts. The grounds of the temple are in horrible shape.

It’s really sad to see and to experience.

Due to the name, people might mix this temple up with the beautiful water situated temple as seen in some pictures from reviews. But please avoid this temple at all cost. This is one big tourist trap. It is not nearly as impressive as other temples in Bali. There is not that much to see inside at all actually and you will be conned from left to right. Even taking a breath there will cost you money.

Learn from our mistake people. If you don’t want to be broke at the end of your day, do not visit this place. Even if you have your own stuff, they will still insist that you are missing something or say that you are doing it wrong (while definitely doing it right) and make you give them money. The phrase “don’t cost money” actually means give me all of your money over here. Expensive lesson and really a bad experience. Spend your money at other temples. They are worthy of it.

And do not forget to pray for those scammers. Cause their souls are definitely not pure.

Prior to seeing the temple, we were welcomed by a well-maintained park by the lake. The special thing about this temple is that it is built on an island which makes it unique and beautiful. I've been here twice and both times it rained in the afternoon.

Go here! Ulun Danu Batur Temple is full of tourists and local Indonesians. The excitement is contagious. Full of families, children and generally incredibly well behaved happy people.

As Bali experienced summer weather which all the popular attraction is filled with warm and humid air, Ulun Danu temple is the first temple we felt is the most nice temple to stroll around and taking nice photo with the cold wind and chill air. It is windy when we reached there around 3.30pm mid Oct where it is less crowded and nice to sit down and enjoy the temple and lake view. We have taken many photos and the view is just very refreshing, it is really a nice place to visit.
