Not a big mall, but a great place to eat
May 2019 • Solo
I am enjoying my stay in Vung Tau, but being a westerner with fussy tastes regarding food, I have found it hard to find places to eat. Most of the restaurants look either a bit dirty or cater for local clientele. The Lotte Hypermarket center has several places in the ground floor food court for me to eat including vietnamese and western style foods. There's even a KFC and Dairy Queen.

The mall also has a few specialty stores and a supermarket/department store. Worth visiting if you want western style foods, groceries, or just to get out of the sun for an hour or two.

It has good restaurants/eateries/food court/cinema
Dec 2018 • Couples
Lotte Mart, Vung Tau is conveniently-located next to our hotel, Pullman Hotel. It has restaurants, food court, eateries, Lotte supermarket and Lotte cinema (weekday ticket VND65,000- S$4). My family member watched movie, “Aquaman” and it was in English, just like how it would have been in Singapore.

Restaurants & Food Court on 1st storey: for those who like Korean BBQ, there is a Korean BBQ restaurant (buffet style)- very popular restaurant among locals and tourists. Fast food lovers: there is KFC. For those who like steamboat: individual hot pot style, Lotte food court has 3 stalls selling hot pots. The most popular stall was the one next to children’s indoor playground (don’t know its actual name),and sinks, it was 4-5 stalls away from “Yellow Pot”. We tried the Thai Tom Yam seafood hot pot and fried seafood noodles by Cao Viet , very delicious except the meatballs had clinical taste which we left aside>. Tom Yam soup was sweeter than those sold in Singapore. “Yellow Pot’s”fish combo wasn’t good because fish wasn’t fresh, it had been preserved like salted fish咸鱼.

** Note **

1)When paying for goods at Lotte Mart, be careful with the amount of change you should get in return. Work out mentally first. Cashier (this is my experience with ONLY ONE such cashier, note that not all Lotte Mart cashiers are like this) first asked me in perfect English if I was a Lotte member, I was so impressed with her conversational English skill that I praised her. I gave her a big note of VND500,000 and I should be getting back quite a lot of change, first time she returned me the wrong change, well, that could be a genuine mistake; when she returned me wrong change the 2nd time and with no surprise written on her face when I asked her for the rest, then I knew she had the intention to shortchange me.

2) If you are not returning to HCMC and really need to get your souvenirs or coffee (we read that Vietnam is the world’s 2nd highest coffee exporter), then get from Lotte Mart, if not, it will be cheaper to buy them from supermarkets in HCMC, even VinMart at the upmarket VinCentre@Landmark81 (HCMC) sells cheaper things than Lotte Mart, Vung Tau. We were advised that Big C supermarkets in HCMC sells reasonably-prices goods but they were not near the hotels we stayed in, we didn’t bother to locate Big C at all. Probably the disparity in prices between Lotte Mart Vung Tau and Big C HCMC could even be greater.

For downtime
Dec 2018 • Family
If it's the hottest part of the day, rainy or the kids are restless, Lotte Mart is an option. It has got soft kids play area, cinema and a range of eating options so the little ones can be entertained if you want a break from the beach. There is also a supermarket and other stores for shopping.

Exceptional selection of foods
Dec 2018 • Couples
A walk through the grocery section revealed a nice selection of foods both fresh and prepared, a variety of special items, as well as packaged items. Especially note worthy were canned sardines in oil, ritz sandwich crackers, a variety of fresh cheese, salami, and nice size wieners. They also have fried chicken as well as rotisserie chicken! Well worth a visit for the holidays.

I would like to take this opportunity to the thank and praise all the staff at the front desk of the Lotte Legend Hotel Saigon. In particular I would like to give a special thank you to Veronica, Bella and Julie for their most friendly attention and professionalism in assisting me with ground transportation from Ho Chi Minh City to Vung Tao. Modern Shopping in Danang
Nov 2017 • Couples
Lotte is a huge modern shopping complex well laid out and appointed - it would fit in fine in any Western city. Fixed price with a plethora of vendors and brands. We needed an additional suitcase for souvenirs and easily found multiple choices here.

Great Mall for a variety of things and places to eat
Apr 2017 • Family
Went there to do some shopping for snacks, sun glasses, toys and had lunch. The main store, Lotte, is spread out over a couple of levels and had a large variety of food, clothes and other things. We ended up getting some toys and snacks, all very inexpensive. Had lunch at the Hot Pot restaurant and enjoyed it very much.
