As the others are saying , we paid 800K for the VIP Couple massage, tipped the girls generously and they complained saying the boss does not pay them and they demanded tips to the same value of the package. Informed the hotel duty manager who stormed in and demanded the tip back. It seems the girls run this scam all the time.

Otherwise a good massage , they got a few giggles playing with my hairy chest laughing between each other as if I wasn’t there.

Much better for same money , just do your Googling.

Massage is ok... 400VND for standard room with fruits and what not. Full body massage for 1.5 hrs. What irked me was the enormous tip expected from the girl. Read the reviews, was expecting this to happen. Girl actually asked for same amount as the total package! Not recommended unless you really want to 'donate' to the 'poor working girls' there. There was hardly anyone else there.

This place is just rubbish. Paid 400k plus for 1.5 hours of massage and was given less than an hour of massage coupled with the masseuse saying that I will need half an hour to wash up which is just crap.

Her massage was the equivalent of washing vegetables at home.

Total waste of time. And she had the audacity to asked for 150k of tips. I just did not want to make things difficult hence agree to that amount. I would usually have given 0.

This is my fourth or fifth visit to Vung Tau and the Palace Hotel. As ever the staff are friendly and efficient, which includes great laundry service.
Each time i have been here has been with a group of friends, and they also consider the Palace Hotel to be a home away from home. There may be better places, there may be cheaper places but there aren't any that are better and cheaper.
Cheers

We recently stayed at the Palace Hotel in Vung Tau, it is in a great location close to the ferry terminal; the beach and restaurants. The staff were very helpful; polite. We only had breakfast here but it was really nice with a huge selection.

I stayed there from the 4th to the 7th of November and was treated like a 5 star hotel , terrific friendly staff great room and the over-all service was first rate , i don't know the hotel rating but it should be 5 or more.

This is the restaurant for the hotel and so it has good quality decor although a little boring.
However, the food was surprisingly good. There is a reasonable variety of choices and all we ordered was served quickly and was very nice.
The service was very friendly and helpful - I guess more used to dealing with foreign tourists.
Ovewrall I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was a would certainly eat there next time I go.

Limited options for a simple massage. I just wanted head, neck, shoulders but had to pay for the full massage, spa/jacuzzi package. Took some time trying to explain that I didn't want a jacuzzi, just a massage. When we met with the masseurs, they were wearing what I think was supposed to be a skirt - it may have just been a belt. It was all a bit sleazy. The lack of essential oils made for a very rough massage and I had to tell her twice to stop because she was hurting me - she didn't seem to understand the concept of softer/not so much/ouch!! My neck and shoulders are actually sore this morning. Before we walked out they asked for a tip which other places I had been to included in the initial price. I explained I had only a little bit of cash leftover after having to pay up front so she asked me to put it on my credit card!! I handed over the 30,000 I had left and walked out.

Went vwith friends as near to hotel.

Leading to the Spa looks great but once opened the door into the reception, the missing essential oil smell to welcome you is a sign of warning. I was very hesitant, but went for an hour massage as I didn't want to be a spoil sport in the group. Had to pay first (210000).

Changing area was dimly lited. Staff were looking at you when you change. First they gave you a white towel then ask you to remove your clothes then I ask them if they are going to give us clothing and they did thereafter. It was really bizarre and so disorganised. So many male staff standing around doing nothing.

Led to a room and waited 10 mins before a young lady came in in tight blouse and mini skirt. Didn't want to think what going to hapoen I asked another make friend of mine to join me in the same room.

Massage majorly SUX. Just running their hands over you and bet they are not train. Can't wait for the whole ordeal to end. Played sick chinese music and then upbeat vietnamese wedding music louder second half session.

They then have the guts to aak for tips. It was a 40 mins massage instead of an hour but I thank God for it. Money was not well spent at all.

Stay clear of this place.

Average for money but the girls seem unhappy with a reasonable tip. I though $5 was fine.

Vietnamese massage ok but not great.
