My husband and I spent a really good time with Thoai during our food tour in Can Tho. We had great food at very good price. We learnt a lot about Vietnamese food thanks to this guy who was very friendly and at the same time very professional, speaking a very good English. The group was made of only 4 people so that everybody could partecipate very easily. Very very recommended!!

We highly recommend that free streetfood tour. The guide speaks very good english and answers all your questions about food, culture & people. Very interesting. He chooses excellent streetfood with special dishes and he adaptes the tour if you have any special wishes. You pay for the food that you eat - between 10'000 and 70'000 VND. In the end you choose how much tip you give to the guide. The tour is very authentic and I'm sure that you will enjoy a lot. Thank you so much for everything.

Whenever you are in Can Tho you need to do this foodtour! As a vietnamese I was afraid the tour was going to be superficial with familiar dishes like goi cuon, pho or banh xeo. But the opposite was true. Thaoi surprised us with mouthwatering local dishes just like yummy beef in clay pot (see picture). Scoop: whenever they’re available you can (you don’t have to) eat fried mice from the rice farm! The tour guide Thoai is a really kind host who can passionately tell you about everything you would like to know with surprising facts.

Thoai knows a lot about the food as well as the history of the region/country. He's a fun guy to hang out with and will show you some cool places to eat and breaking away from the 'regulars' such as Pho and Banh Mi. Can recommend this to everyone visiting Can Tho! Tip: bring small bills as the dishes are quite cheap (between 10.000 / 30.000 VND) and you'll usually pay for them as a group!

For the first time I saw and ate elephant ear fish. It is a famous dish coughs in freshwater. The name is derived from its look like an elephant’s ear. This fish is deep fried at high temperature with the scales on. After cooking the scales are removed and the fish is crispy outside and moist inside. Good fish!
