Place to be in the evening

The Ninh Kieu Wharf seemed like the place to be in the evening. Many tourists and locals down here enjoying the waterfront and local attractions. It is worth the time and effort to come down to the wharf while in Can Tho.

Charming riverside park

Ninh Kiều Wharf also known as Ninh Kiều Park is situated on the right bank of Hậu River, by the junction of Hậu River and Cần Thơ River.

The park covers an area of more than 7,000 square metres which is filled with pathways and lots of trees of various shapes and sizes. The pathways are lined with a variety of colourful potted plants and bushes. There are small well maintained grassed areas and lots of seating around the park.

We visted this park twice on Wednesday 9th January, the first time was early in the morning on our way to board our boat to Cai Rang floating market. The second time was in the evening, a very pleasant stroll through the riverside park made a bit more special as it was illuminated.

The Hồ Chí Minh Monument (reviewed separately) is sited in the park.

The are a number bars, restaurants and cafes and long the road opposite the park.

nice place to visit early evening

Enjoyed my weekend on Can Tho ,the wharf is a nice place early evening , loved the floating market , only problem was the terrible vip bus back to hcm ,Loc Phat vip bus had no wifi, no usb to charge my pone , no free water , my seat was broken so it would not recline and the bus was old looking , certainly not vip ,plus they finally turned up at my hotel 1 our late to collect me ........AVOID LOC PAT VIP LIMO, TERRIBLE !!!

Wonderful

A cultural symbol of the Can Tho and Southwest region. We had many experiences with the float market in early morning, visiting agriculture and local fruit garden and You can go there on the cruise and enjoy the nightlife.

Diversity place

This place is a diversity place: Riverside is a city park. It also have a few tourist boat terminals for many boats take tourists to CaiRang Floating market, and Big Boats for Dinner Cruise around CanTho river. There is a riverview restaurant at this park. Next to this park is Hai Ba Trung street, which have some big hotels alongside

Panoramic Ninh Kiều waterfront walk.

Fantastic views over the Hậu and Cần Thơ Rivers and Cái Khế Canal as everything that you can imagine floats by from every direction. Stop and watch the river traffic and wait for what can be a pretty spectacular sunset.
Make sure to take the enjoyable wander over the impressive Ninh Kiều Walking Bridge over the Canal.
