This is an impressive building with its pond in front and the many impressive and well crafted pillars. Something different to the mostly stone madrasas of Bukhara and worth to pay a visit.

Beautiful, large, and if you 're lucky, or not lucky ( i do t know, never was able to see one) you might be able to catch a puppet show here. Worth a look.

This also can be included in a day tourist pakage.You need only about half an hour to see the place unless you want to shop This is also renovated now.One in the list of walking tour.

Located at Lyabi Hauz, this medresse used to be the largest of its kind in Cenral Asia and an important part of Bukhara as a religious centre. It was built around 16th century. Well worth a visit.

Up the stairs from Lyab-i-Hauz in the north was located 'Kukeldosh Madrasah', famous to hold 'Puppet Shows' inside a studio within the premises. No entry charges for the Madrasah but 7000/- per person to see a 'Puppet-Show'. We went there twice to watch advertised 'English Version Puppet Show' but to our dismay it was repeatedly cancelled. Located at the north of Lab-i Hauz (around the pond) ensemble, it is has the most imposing facade in Buchara. All covered with excuisite majolicas, no glue or nails, the entrance gate is 80x60m, huge, imposing!
