This mosque is much better than Registan in Samarkand. It’s less crowded and cheaper, and feels far more authentic. If you go in the mid day heat there will be fewer people.

We couldn’t visit the inside, as it is still used tor teaching purposes (the entry was closed when we went there). But, the architecture is just marvelous and the blue domes stand out so perfectly. A great place to take photos. totally recommend it.

Definitely a must see while your stay in buchara! Take a walk around and if you’re lucky and early enough, you’ll be the only one in front of the mosque!
