About Cycling Sukhothai Bicycle Tour Thailand
Cycling Sukhothai is a small business promoting eco-tourism. All our bicycle tours go into the rural area where our experienced guides know how to show you the beauty of the Sukhothai area. They will explain all you have to know about farming and village life. We really go deep into the countryside using tracks and trails used by the farmers themselves that zig-zag and swing along canals, rice fields passing authentic villages, local temples. We use well maintained 24 speed mountain bikes, the most green and energy efficient machines, no fumes, no noise, leaving behind only the tracks of the tires in the dust.

We loved our half-day bike tour today! Perfectly paced, wonderful guide, delicious lunch stop (Sukhothai noodles! and fried papaya salad!) and even a sweet visit to a pottery maker...

We had an incredible 𝘍𝘶𝘭𝘭 𝘋𝘢𝘺 𝘏𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘬 𝘛𝘰𝘶𝘳, with 𝐌𝐞𝐦, not only seeing the park and learning more about the history and culture of Sukhothai. Superbly professional in terms of the organisation and the fun delivery of all the info. We were picked up at our hotel at 8 am for our 6-hour historical park tour including lunch. We would not have seen so much or learned so much about the history, architecture and Buddism on our own. It was great just to follow our Thai guide Mem who had a well-planned route. Mem gave us just enough information, so we enjoyed all the major sites – without being templed-out! The well maintained 24-speed mountain bikes came already sized for us (we supplied our heights beforehand), hats were provided. We can thoroughly recommend Cycling Sukothai.

Like everyone we have spent much of the past few months without getting out much. And the current situation has left almost no tourist in Thailand. So we decided to discover Sukhothai, the first Thai capital, up North, between Bangkok and Chiang Mai. We always appreciate to do a cycling tour when we come to a new place and we could not have picked a better guide than Mem. She has an intimate knowledge of the history and best places to visit around Sukhothai, as well as knowing pretty much everyone around so you really feel part of the local life. And being able to cycle around the sights without hordes of tourists is a luxury that will not last so we were blessed to be here at this time.

We had booked the sunset tour. Ms. Koi took us along rice and tobacco fields, to a rat farm and a farm for fighting chicken. We also had some whiskey with locals. The tour was very enjoyable and relaxing. Ms. Koi is a great guide and a lovely person. For a calm end of a day this tour is highly recommendable.

On the Full Day Countryside Tour, you will see the quieter corners of the countryside outside of Sukhothai. On our tour we made stops at various farms, a fish-processing house, a distillery that produced whisky and rice-wine, a facility that raised fighting roosters, a turnip-processing factory, and a temple in a small village which housed a beloved monk who was preserved after his death (a la Lenin or Hi Chi Minh). You are picked up and returned to your hotel/guesthouse, and lunch is included in one of the small villages. A shout-out to our guide Mem who along with her husband Ronny own and operate Sukhothai Cycling. Very highly recommended!
