Don't regret going here as very beautiful and saw some great fish snorkelling but really disliked hordes of tourists on beach particularly loud, rude ones who dropped their rubbish. We went to the end of each beach or for a walk to escape but what a shame is such a tourist day trippers merry go round.

Must visit if you are a snorkelling and diving fanatic. Less crowded of all the islands and the view and water were out of this world. Coming from patong, it took a while to get there; 1h30 by car to the peer and 1 h20min by speed boat to the islands. The guide 'spicy' was very helpful and friendly and... More

I have been there few days ago and I have to say that although the islands are very beautiful all the rest does not worth the travel. Firstly, don’t go there for snorkeling, you would be very disappointed. Ok, you will see some fishes but nothing else. The under sea life is dead, all corals dead, no anemone, no clown... More

We were driving for 1,5 hours from Phuket, Kamala, to the station from where we had to take one speed boat to the Similans.. It was definitely worth it... (except crazy bus driver who was not normal, was driving too fast, and we got pretty scared) As soon as we arrived to this Island, we forgot this crazy drive... Similan... More

I booked this trip through the Hilton in Phuket, hoping to get that " away from civilization" feeling as did many others on my trip . We were to be let down badly . You book your trip not realising the scale of the operation and the number of boats and operators involved . We arrived at the key side... More

Visited the islands with my family; 4 fit adults. The Cons The speedboat ride is 1Hr+ long – the outboard engines are very loud. One has to shout to be heard, fumes from the engines fly into the cabin. It’s far from pleasant. You can’t move on the boat as it is fully booked and it’s also dangerous as the... More

Great trip to the Similan islands. The crew really looked after us. Well worth the money did not need to spend any more money during the trip. Snorkelled in a number of places and saw some great fish. Day started off with breakfast and briefing at the pier, had lunch on one the islands. Snacks and drinks always available on... More

Had opportunity recently to visit 3 of the Similan Islands via CheckIn Similan and must say it was a great experience. The boat ride (powered by 3 x 200 hp motors) was fast but fine and snorkelling was available for those wanting to dip in the water. I sat on the boat for first island, we had a very very... More

A very simple review. Great full day out, picked up from our hotel on time. Arrived at Fantastic HQ, greeted with breakfast & drinks. Pentor was brilliant with his low down speech of the day. Boat - fast - but be prepared for a little pain from waves. Four islands visited first island lunch provided, tea & coffee also. Water... More

Island no.8 is wonderful on white and soft, smooth sands, we enjoy snorkeling on island no. 7 & no.9, the water is clean and clear. Many fishes and marine biological. We joined local tour, the guide is professional and helpful, his name call "Mong" from travel agency "Medsye". I highly recommended you go to Similan Island by tour.
