A Must Visit Attraction when in Pai, Thailand!
Sep 2020
A mountain road, on the outskirts of Pai, leads up from the Santichon Chinese Village and to a fabulous mountain top view point area! After parking, it was only a short walk up to the scenic viewpoint areas which were also within a complex of restaurants and souvenir shops. The cost was about 40 baht per person and 40 baht more for permission to take photos. The mountain views were stunning and we took many photos. There is also a tree with many ornaments with declarations of love written on them. It was said that many people would come here to make marriage proposals! We also visited another amazing coffee shop and resort located on a nearby hill of the same area!

GET UP AND GO!

Worth the early rise to see this beauty. Make it happen! It was my fav thing we did on the Pai trip! Yes there is a fee and yes you have to pay for tea and baked goods but it’s so cheap just go!

Wonderful place to view sunrise
Jan 2020
I'm so happy we went to this place! We took off by scooter at 6:40 from Pai, arrived just in time on the plateau where a lot of people (maybe 100?) had gathered to view the sunrise. Yes, lots of people, but it was quite pleasant and there was lots of space for everyone.
There's a 20-baht entrance fee which felt a bit silly, but hey, it's a nice place so we just did it.
There's food and coffee (nescafe) available to purchase.
The scooter ride through the village was also nice, it was great to see the village come to life with people setting off to work & school, monks walking through the village getting their food, etc.

Lovely place with fab view for 20 bt and if you are sentimental you can buy a token n hang it onto the love tree. Not overly crowded but you can catch a whiff of cool air even at noon.

Great view and great food.

One more viewpoint offering great view for 20 Thai Baht. You face the entire Pai valley, you can see the Big Buddha way across the city. One major advantage of this viewpoint is that it is coupled with a good Chinese-Thai restaurant. Best KA-MOO in northern Thailand.

20baht fee to go to a viewpoint???
Mar 2019 • Family
I really don’t understand this. The entrance to the viewpoint should be free! This coffee shop has a tremendous advantage and instead of using it to bring in customers and offer a great experience, they chose to make money from taking advantage of the view only (???). Am I the only one thinking this is ridiculous and feeling exploited? To sum up...I refused to pay (out of principle) so I can’t give an opinion on the view.

Beautiful views of the mountains
Mar 2019 • Solo
Past Santichon village, keep going up the road and you’ll eventually get to the viewpoint. It’s a 20 baht entry fee and there’s a little cafe.

Absolutely stunning views of the mountains on a clear, bright day and according to other reviews on Tripadvisor it’s good to catch the sunset.

Unfortunately during my visit Pai was covered, according to the locals, by some of the worst pollution for years due to field burning and no rain to clear it. I still enjoyed my time up there though.

Recommended for stunning 360 degree views.

Great view for sunset.
Jan 2019 • Couples
Go here for a perfect view over Pai. A small fee is needed to get access. Catch this place near sunset and watch the sun go down.

Best spot for sunrise
Nov 2018 • Solo
This is the best vie in Pai I’ve found for watching or photographing the sunrise. It makes for a very pretty scene overlooking the fog covered valley floor. Be prepared to pay 20 baht for entry. And expect lots of people
